\nThe FSP Manager \u2013 East Southern Africa plays a critical role in managing and growing Optasia\u2019s partnerships with financial institutions across designated markets in the East Africa region including but not limited to Uganda, Zambia and Mozambique. This role ensures seamless integration, operational alignment, and strategic collaboration between Optasia and its Financial Services Provider (FSP) partners, primarily banks and like-minded financial services institutions.
\nWhat you will do
\nPartnership Management
\nServe as the primary point of contact for assigned FSPs
\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with partner institutions
\nCoordinate joint planning, performance reviews, and strategic alignment
\nOperational Coordination
\nOversee day-to-day operations between Optasia and the FSP
\nEnsure timely execution of commercial agreements and service-level commitments
\nMonitor KPIs and resolve operational issues in collaboration with internal teams
\nProject Implementation
\nLead onboarding and launch activities for new products or markets
\nCoordinate cross-functional teams (legal, compliance, tech, product) to meet FSP requirements
\nTrack implementation timelines and ensure delivery against milestones
\nCompliance & Documentation
\nSupport KYC, regulatory, and contractual documentation processes
\nEnsure all partner activities comply with internal and external standards
\nReporting & Analysis
\nProvide regular updates on partner performance and market dynamics
\nIdentify growth opportunities and recommend improvements to commercial model
\nLeadership development program
\nWhat you will bring
\nStrong liquidity and understanding of treasury management
\nPrevious experience as a Relationship manager in corporate or commercial banking is a plus
\nStrong understanding of digital financial services, banking, or fintech ecosystems
\nExcellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
\nProject management experience with cross-functional coordination
\nAnalytical mindset with ability to interpret performance data
\nYour key attributes
\nStrong desire for exploring, evaluating and understanding in depth old and new technologies
\nPassion for learning new technologies and eagerness to collaborate with other creative minds
\nExcellent judgment, organizational and problem-solving skills
\nAbility to hit tight deadlines and work under pressure and strict attention to detail
\nExcellent communication skills and team working mentality
\nExperience in working with secure code development guidelines and coding practices (i.e. OWASP, NIST)
