BEM Motors is hiring an\u00a0experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic\u00a0specializing in\u00a0Zhongtong, Scania, and Mercedes-Benz buses\u00a0to diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical systems
\nPosition Description
\nThis position reports to the Workshop Supervisor\/ Foreman. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.<\/p>\n
Inspecting buses Coach Scania, Volvo and Mega buses, for proper performance.
\nDiagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment.
\nAdjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.
\nRepairing damaged equipment parts.
\nCleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty machines.
\nPerforming major repair work on the buses when necessary.
\nConsulting with other mechanics on smaller jobs.
\nReporting damaged or faulty equipment to Supervisor\/ Management.
\nEnsure compliance by all subordinates to all Quality, Health & Safety standards.<\/p>\n
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience<\/p>\n
\u00a0Grade 12 certificate
\nCraft Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repairer
\nA Member of EIZ
\nThree to Five year\u2019s experience in mechanical works on heavy duty Vehicles including buses, heavy trucks and similar machines.
\nComputer literate.<\/p>\n
Conduct routine inspections and report any defects or problems.<\/p>\n
Assess vehicles\/machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues.
\nMonitor vehicle performance after service or repairs.
\nKeep accurate and proper records of job cards.
\nMaintain and clean workshop equipment and tools to ensure they are always kept in a safe and usable condition.
\nAdhere to company work safety policies.
\nStrong technical competence.
\nGood written and oral communication skills.<\/p>\n
