SSISTANT ACCOUNTANT
\nThe primarily responsibilities include the following
\nInvoicing Duties<\/p>\n
Generate customer invoices promptly upon confirmation of delivery, service completion, or milestone achievement and ensure that all invoices reflect correct pricing, quantities, taxes (VAT, Withholding Tax, etc.), and terms as per approved sales or service agreements.
\nVerify supporting documentation such as delivery notes, purchase orders, and job completion certificates before invoicing.
\nMaintain an orderly invoice register for reference, reconciliation, and audit purposes<\/p>\n
\u00a0Receivables (Accounts Receivable) Duties<\/p>\n
Record and track customer payments accurately, ensuring that receipts are posted to the correct accounts and invoices.
\nMonitor accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and initiate timely follow-ups.
\nReconcile customer statements regularly and address any variances promptly<\/p>\n
\u00a0Statutory Returns Duties (NAPSA, PAYE, NHIMA, and Tax Returns)<\/p>\n
Compute monthly statutory deductions such as PAYE, NAPSA, and NHIMA based on approved payroll data.
\nPrepare payment schedules and ensure that all statutory obligations are remitted to relevant authorities before due dates.
\nMaintain reconciliation between payroll records and statutory payment records<\/p>\n
Qualifications\/Experience\/Skills<\/p>\n
\u00a0Full Grade 12 Certificate
\nMinimum of Diploma in Accounting.
\nCertified Member \u2013 ACCA\/ZICA
\nAt least 3 years working experience
\nProficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Pastel, or ERP systems).
\nStrong knowledge of Zambian statutory regulations including ZRA, NAPSA, and NHIMA requirements.
\nExcellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
\nAttention to detail with strong ethical and compliance orientation.<\/p>\n
