The Pensions and Insurance Authority (\u201cthe Authority\u201d)\u00a0is the regulatory and supervisory authority for the pensions and insurance industries in Zambia as provided for in the Pension Scheme Regulations Act No. 28 of 1996 (as amended) and the Insurance Act No. 38 of 2021. The Authority supervises and regulates entities operating in the pensions and insurance sector. This includes insurance companies, reinsurance companies, insurance intermediaries, pension schemes, pension fund managers, and pension fund administrators.
\nAs part of the organisation\u2019s expansion, the Authority hereby invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following position:-<\/p>\n
1. STRATEGY MANAGER \u2013 ONE (1) POSITION
\nReporting to the RegistrarThe Strategy Manager oversees the planning, formulation, monitoring, evaluation, and implementation of the Authority\u2019s strategic plans and effectively manages the Authority\u2019s technical engagements with relevant ministries, financial sector regulators, and development agencies in order to ensure that the Authority attains its corporate strategic objectives.<\/p>\n
Specific Duties:-<\/p>\n
Oversees the effective development of policy and guidelines in order to ensure that the regulatory framework is optimized to achieve desired outcomes.<\/p>\n
Oversees effectively the initiation and drafting of the Authority\u2019s strategic plans in order to ensure that the Authority\u2019s strategic plans are developed according to international best practices.<\/p>\n
Oversees effectively the monitoring and review of the Authority\u2019s strategic plans in order to provide actionable suggestions.<\/p>\n
Oversees effectively the implementation of strategic plans in order to ensure that the Authority\u2019s strategic objectives are achieved.<\/p>\n
Oversees effectively the conduct of strategy-based research in order to inform strategy formulation.<\/p>\n
Manages effectively the development of work plans and implementation of performance management systems in order to monitor, evaluate, and enhance performance.<\/p>\n
Manages the effective use of financial and other resources in order to facilitate attainment of set objectives.<\/p>\n
Requirements:-<\/p>\n
Full Form V\/Grade 12 Certificate with credit or better in Mathematics and English<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business Administration, Economics\/Social Sciences or equivalent<\/p>\n
Master\u2019s degree in Business Administration<\/p>\n
7 years relevant experience<\/p>\n
