Huachen International Supply Chain Limited is currently seeking to employ a Fuel Tanker Driver Supervisor in the Fuel Tanker Fleet Department to join our growing team.
\nPOSITION:\u00a0Fuel Tanker Driver Supervisor (X1)

\nJOB PURPOSE
\nThe primary objective of this position is to oversee Driver activity on a daily basis, monitor performance and inspect both drivers and trucks to ensure they are in good working condition and compliant with regulations.
\nMAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
\nDriver Daily Management<\/p>\n
Establish and implement driver management systems, and supervise drivers\u2019 compliance with company regulations, traffic laws, and safety operating standards.
\nInvestigate and penalize violations to ensure strict fleet discipline.
\nResponsible for driver attendance, shift scheduling, leave approval, and substitute arrangements Training and Education
\nOrganize safety training and warning sessions whenever drivers return to base.
\nConduct regular training on traffic regulations, professional ethics, fuel theft prevention, and accident prevention.
\nReview accident cases to enhance drivers\u2019 safety awareness and sense of responsibility.
\nRecruitment and Evaluation
\nRecruit, screen, interview, and hire new drivers.
\nConduct driving tests, road evaluations, and background checks (including home visits) for new drivers.
\nEstablish a driver performance appraisal system, regularly evaluate performance, and propose rewards and penalties.
\nAccident and Violation Handling
\nInvestigate vehicle accidents within the fleet, analyze causes, identify responsibilities, and handle them accordingly.
\nFollow up on accident aftermath, and coordinate with insurance companies, police, and relevant authorities for resolution.<\/p>\n
14.\u00a0Establish accident and violation records, and develop corrective measures.
\nSafety and Compliance<\/p>\n
Verify that drivers hold valid driving licenses and required certifications.
\nEnsure drivers comply with company policies and Energy Regulation Board (ERB) legal requirements.
\nSupervise drivers\u2019 adherence to anti-fuel-theft, anti-smuggling, and cargo compliance procedures.
\nCommunication and Coordination
\nAct as a bridge between drivers and management, ensuring timely communication of company policies and directives.
\nAddress reasonable driver concerns and maintain fleet stability.
\nCoordinate with the maintenance department and operations dispatch to ensure smooth vehicle operations.<\/p>\n
Other Management Tasks (Optional)<\/p>\n
Supervise drivers\u2019 appearance, service attitude, and customer conduct.
\nConduct regular home visits to drivers to build strong communication and reduce turnover.
\nParticipate in formulating and improving fleet management policies and driver manuals.
\nAssist finance in reviewing drivers\u2019 travel allowances, subsidies, and penalty records.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
Minimum Diploma in Transport and Logistics or related field.
\nNdola and Copperbelt residents are preferred.
\nHold a valid heavy-duty vehicle driver\u2019s license and be familiar with fuel tanker transportation.
\nMinimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in fleet management or driver supervision, with strong knowledge of the long-haul transport industry (experience with fuel tankers preferred).
\nFamiliar with transportation laws, road conditions, and industry regulations in Zambia and neighbouring countries (Tanzania and the DRC).
\nStrong discipline, fairness, and execution ability, with the capacity to enforce strict management of staff.
\nExcellent communication, coordination, and team management skills.
\nProven experience in accident handling and emergency response.
\nHonest, reliable, with good character and no record of poor driving or criminal offences.
\nHealth and safety certificates are an added advantage.<\/p>\n
