\nJob Pupose:<\/p>\n
Support Bayer Itaba Plant\u2019s procurement operations by ensuring the effective sourcing of goods and services in compliance with the procurement protocol, budgetary guidelines and global standards.
\nThis role plays a key part in improving cost efficiency, supplier performance and timely availability of materials required for Commercial and Foundation Plant and Field Operations.
\nSupport Resource Mission Lead (Plant Controller) with cost tracking activities, analysis and reporting<\/p>\n
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

\nProcurement Operations Strategy<\/p>\n
Coordinate and execute budget plan according Bayer procurement policy
\nSupport Commercial, Foundation and Pre-foundation Plant and Field sourcing activities for both direct and indirect materials and services
\nLiaise with internal departments (Finance, Production, Field, QT, PQ and Engineering) to consolidate procurement needs and specifications for both Opex and CAPEX items<\/p>\n
Vendor Management<\/p>\n
Manage Supplier selection, onboarding, performance reviews and relationship management
\nEnsure vendors comply with Bayers code of conduct, sustainability requirements and service level agreements (SLA).
\nMaintain and update an approved vendor list in line with audit and compliance<\/p>\n
Contract Management<\/p>\n
Draft, review and negotiate supplier contracts to optimize cost, delivery, and risk
\nSupport Capital projects in the procurement phase
\nEnsure adherence to contractual obligations and address deviations promptly<\/p>\n
Purchase \u2013 to \u2013 Pay Process<\/p>\n
Raising of purchase requisitions and conversion into purchase orders for all opex, production resources (packaging, consumable and CAPEX projects)
\nMonitor Open orders and coordinate delivery timelines with vendor and warehouse staff
\nReconcile deliveries with purchase orders and coordinate with finance for timely payments<\/p>\n
Compliance and Audit<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance with internal frameworks, procurement protocols and audit trails
\nSupport both internal and external audit with required documentation and reporting<\/p>\n
Reporting and Analysis<\/p>\n
Prepare monthly procurement dashboards (Cost savings, supplier performance, PO cycle time etc.).
\nSupport budgeting and forecasting processes by providing procurement spend analysis
\nResponsible for submitting Purchase requisition<\/p>\n
Required Qualifications:<\/p>\n
A Bachelors degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance or Business Administration
\nMinimum CIPS level 4 or equivalent certification required
\nMinimum 3 years experience in procurement or supply chain management in a manufacturing or agricultural processing environment
\nExperience in SAP & MS Office especially excel.
\nKnowledge of purchasing and a basic understanding of the materials and supply chain management functions
\nAbility to manage the entire order to payment process.
\nProcess & Systems minded (SAP, reporting, Procurement tools).<\/p>\n
