\nKoBold Metals Zambia is building a rapidly growing team of Zambian geologists, operators, and executives to identify, acquire, explore, and develop exploration opportunities and mineral resources drawing upon KoBold\u2019s technology and the expertise of colleagues worldwide.
\nAbout the position
\nIn this role, you will be responsible for the accounting and financial oversight of our operations in the Copperbelt. The candidate must be comfortable working independently without direct supervision, as well as working well with multiple team members, both local and abroad.
\nResponsibilities
\nThe Senior Accountant will:<\/p>\n
Implement and maintain internal control procedures to ensure all disbursements are properly accounted for
\nMaintain and reconcile petty cash disbursements.
\nEnsure appropriate document control and compliance through filing, composing, and editing documents and reports.
\nProved assistance to management with executing contracts and purchasing goods and services.
\nQualify and onboard vendors with the help of the field exploration team.
\nReview invoices for proper documentation.
\nAssist human resources with payroll and attendance records.<\/p>\n
Qualifications
\nThe Senior Accountant \u00a0Lead must have:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent certification.
\n5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
\nAbility to solve problems effectively.
\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.
\nHandle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
\nProficient with Google suite, prior experience using ERPs, cloud accounting software with a demonstrated aptitude to embrace new technologies
\nFlexibility to accommodate meetings with team members and vendors in other countries.<\/p>\n
