\nThe\u00a0key purpose\u00a0of this\u00a0work is focused on the collection, analysis, and consolidation of financial data. Although the controller doesn\u2019t directly manage the budget, the job includes monitoring any variances, summarizing spending trends, and investigating budget deficiencies.

\nKey Roles and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Manage accounting operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting functions like billing, accounts payable and receivable, and the general ledger.\u200b
\nFinancial reporting: Prepare and publish monthly and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.\u200b
\nBudgeting and forecasting: Coordinate the preparation of budgets, perform financial forecasting, and\u00a0analyze\u00a0variances between actual results and forecasts.\u200b
\nInternal controls and compliance: Develop and maintain internal controls, document policies, and ensure all transactions are recorded and reported in compliance with statutory laws.\u200b
\nAudit management: Oversee the internal and external audit processes and liaise with external auditors.\u200b
\nTeam management: Supervise and manage the finance and accounting department staff.\u200b
\nFinancial strategy: Support senior management with Procurement strategy and decision-making by providing financial data analysis and insights.\u00a0\u200b<\/p>\n

Financial expertise:\u00a0Deep understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS), financial reporting, auditing, and tax regulations.\u200b
\nBudgeting and forecasting:\u00a0Ability to prepare, manage, and oversee operating budgets and financial forecasts.\u200b
\nInternal controls and compliance:\u00a0Knowledge of internal controls, regulatory compliance, and risk management.\u200b
\nTechnology proficiency:\u00a0Skill in using accounting software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.\u200b
\nAttention to detail:\u00a0Meticulous verification of financial statements, budgets, and records to ensure accuracy.\u00a0\u200b<\/p>\n

\nMinimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (e.g., Commerce, Business Administration). \u200b
\nProfessional qualification such as\u00a0CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA,\u00a0or equivalent will be an advantage. \u200b
\nProficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
\nMinimum of 2-3 years\u2019 experience in financial management, accounting, or controlling roles is an added advantage.
\nProven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
\nExperience in FMCG environment is an\u00a0added advantage\u200b<\/p>\n
