{"id":6416,"date":"2025-11-21T00:02:31","date_gmt":"2025-11-21T00:02:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/job\/general-ledger-accountant-at-dangote-industries-limited\/"},"modified":"2026-02-07T00:14:12","modified_gmt":"2026-02-07T00:14:12","slug":"general-ledger-accountant-at-dangote-industries-limited","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/?post_type=job_listing&p=6416","title":{"rendered":"General Ledger Accountant at Dangote Industries Limited"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dangote Industries Limited Responsible for the maintenance of assigned general ledger accounts and accountable for the<br \/>\ntimely preparation of monthly journal entries and the reconciliation of the accounts and<br \/>\nrelated schedules.<br \/>\nKey Duties and Responsibilities<br \/>\nPrepare monthly journal entries such as Cash, Payroll, Benefits, Prepaid, In-kind, Expense<br \/>\nAllocations &amp; Revenue.<br \/>\nPerform month-end account closing activities and reconciliations.<br \/>\nAssist with Balance Sheet preparation and Monthly Account reconciliations.<br \/>\nReclassification of wrong entries.<br \/>\nReview cash deposits and prepare cash receipt journal entries.<br \/>\nFile and maintain all journal entries for internal and external audit purposes.<br \/>\nPrepare monthly bank reconciliations to insure all items have been properly recorded in<br \/>\ngeneral ledger for all bank accounts.<br \/>\nBalance and reconcile all payrolls processed and interface into finance. Prepare general<br \/>\njournals as needed.<br \/>\nControl cash count and resolve outstanding balancing issues.<br \/>\nAssist in preparation of monthly Financial Statements.<br \/>\nInputting of General Ledger Accounts on vouchers and invoices before posting.<br \/>\nAssist in the preparation of year end Financial Statements (Statistics and Tax Returns<br \/>\n(DSF)).<br \/>\nReview all General Ledger Accounts before SAP closure every month.<br \/>\nReview and posting of petty cash on a daily basic<br \/>\nComments on the Net Income Statements for Review &amp; Discussion with CFO<br \/>\nPerform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor<br \/>\nKey Requirements<br \/>\nEducation and Work Experience<br \/>\nMinimum of bachelor\u2019s degree (BSc) in Accounting\/ Finance<br \/>\nFull Grade Twelve Certificate<br \/>\nRelevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA among others<br \/>\nRelevant, Recognized and Accredited Professional Accounting Qualification(s) is<br \/>\ncompulsory<br \/>\nMinimum of Seven (7) years progressive and relevant experience<br \/>\nHands on experience in ERP system, preferably SAP.
