Job Purpose
\nThe Risk Officer will be responsible for supporting the Audit and Compliance Manager with risk management, compliance reviews and basic operational\/financial assessments, reviews and audits of organization. Work closely with different departments to ensure that risk management strategies are integrated into all aspects of the organization\u2019s operations.
\nSummary of Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Contribute to the planning, designing, and implementing of overall risk management and compliance review processes for the organization.
\nContribute to the identification and development of business areas\u2019 risk control and self-assessments (RCSA); contribute to the development and improvement of risk and compliance assessment tools and methodologies.
\nKeep abreast with developments in the relevant sectors in order to bring an informed perspective to the risk management and compliance processes.
\nKeep abreast with current issues in business operations and incorporate changing business needs into the relevant risk management and compliance review tools.
\nReview and assess inherent risks within new processes and systems and make relevant recommendations.
\nEvaluate risk with respect to standards established by the organization, taking into consideration criteria such as cost, legal requirements, environmental factors, organization\u2019s previous handling of risks etc.
\nDevelop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
\nMonitor and report on risk exposure.
\nEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements.
\nWork closely with Audit & Compliance Manager and different departments to integrate risk management strategies.
\nReview and advise on risk mitigation measures e.g. implementation of quality systems and practice across the organization in line with prevailing legislation
\nReview and assess compliance risks within new processes and systems and make relevant recommendations.
\nEvaluate compliance issues with respect to standards established by the organization taking into consideration criteria such as cost, legal requirements, environmental factors, organization\u2019s previous handling of compliance issues etc.
\nUpdate and maintain a compliance matrix of all regulatory requirements, key policy requirements, and policy updates recommended by auditors
\nProvide support, education and training to staff to build risk and compliance awareness within the organization.
\nParticipate in the communication and delivery of effective risk and compliance training and awareness programs for various stakeholders<\/p>\n

Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Full Grade 12 School Certificate
\nBachelor\u2019s degree in Risk Management or Full CA Zambia, ACCA, CIMA
\nMinimum of four (4) years working experience in Risk and Compliance Management
\nRisk and Compliance work experience with an audit firm will be a plus\u00a0
\nProfessional certification in risk management (e.g., CRM, FRM) is preferred.
\nMust be a member of ZICA or IIA<\/p>\n
