That\u2019s how we continue to achieve extraordinary things in extraordinary locations.<br \/>\nJob description:<br \/>\nPURPOSE<br \/>\nThis role is responsible for leading and coordinating construction teams in the execution of civil and structural projects within Kansanshi Mining Plc. The Construction Team Leader ensures that all construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.<br \/>\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES<br \/>\nThis position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures, and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment, and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.<br \/>\n\u2022 Lead and supervise construction teams on-site to ensure work is executed according to approved plans and specifications.<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinate daily site activities, including resource allocation, task assignments, and progress tracking.<br \/>\n\u2022 Monitor construction progress and prepare reports using project management tools (e.g., MS Project).<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure compliance with safety standards and enforce site safety protocols.<br \/>\n\u2022 Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, planners, and other stakeholders to resolve site issues.<br \/>\n\u2022 Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications.<br \/>\n\u2022 Implement quality control procedures and ensure workmanship meets required standards.<br \/>\n\u2022 Manage site logistics including materials, equipment, and workforce.<br \/>\n\u2022 Track project costs and assist in budget management and cost control.<br \/>\n\u2022 Mentor and train junior staff and promote teamwork and productivity.<br \/>\n\u2022 Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and\/or supervisor.<br \/>\nQUALIFICATIONS<br \/>\n\u2022 Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.<br \/>\n\u2022 Diploma or equivalent , Construction Management, or related field from a recognized institution.<br \/>\nEXPERIENCE<br \/>\n\u2022 Minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in construction supervision or team leadership within the mining or heavy civil construction industry.<br \/>\n\u2022 Proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary construction teams.<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong knowledge of civil works, steel structures, and construction methodologies.<br \/>\n\u2022 Familiarity with construction equipment and tools<br \/>\n\u2022 Attentive to detail and strong eye in finishing\u2019s<br \/>\nBEHAVIOURAL TRAITS<br \/>\n\u2022 Leadership and Teamwork<br \/>\n\u2022 Bold Initiative<br \/>\n\u2022 Thinking Safety<br \/>\n\u2022 Upholding Quality<br \/>\n\u2022 Effective Communication<br \/>\nOPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS<br \/>\n\u2022 Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel)<br \/>\n\u2022 Familiarity with project management software (MS Project)<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to read and interpret technical drawings<br \/>\n\u2022 Membership to a professional body (e.g., EIZ)<br \/>\n\u2022 Valid Silicosis certificate<br \/>\n\u2022 Driving license<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
