Reporting to the\u00a0Surveillance Supervisor,\u00a0you will be responsible for Supervising security checkpoint operations of Lumwana Copper Mine in accordance with the site policies and procedures.
\nYour duties will include but are not limited to the following:<\/p>\n
Ensure positive and effective implementation of Barrick Security policies and procedures inclusive of the company\u2019s commitment to the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.
\nEnsure compliance with overarching statutory requirements and adherence to international norms
\nRepresent Lumwana Copper Mine on the mine site as a Security checkpoint officer.
\nSupervise the necessary programs and reporting functions that will facilitate timely reporting of incidents are adhered to.
\nEnsure the security system\u2019s integrity is maintained
\nArrange shift patterns ensuring all checkpoint posts are manned 24 hours a day and rotated on a regular basis.
\nEnsure guards always maintain high standard of discipline expected from the Security department.
\n\u00a0Ensure post orders are kept up to date and are aligned with this procedure and that access control security officers have a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities accordingly.
\nEnsure proper management and achieving of all authorized gate passes
\nEnsure access control and search procedures and related policies are in line with company objectives and all applicable laws.
\nEnsure all items brought on site are properly declared as per site standards.
\nCarry out any instructions as directed by the Surveillance supervisor.
\nShall be responsible and accountable for maintaining, communicating and achieving all surveillance and access control related reports.
\nMonitor access control and resolve anomalies.
\nEnsuring all security equipment at the access point is maintained, secured and in working order.
\nSupervise visitor management system operations
\nDirect Physical supervision of Arm Secure checkpoint officers.
\nResponsible for all safety related matters at the checkpoint.
\nVerification and approval of all Gate passes presented at checkpoints.
\nHardcopy Filling and digital Capturing of all Gate passes.<\/p>\n
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n
Full Grade Twelve School Certificate
\nMinimum Certificate in security or social science related discipline.
\nAt least 2 years\u2019 experience in security Surveillance and access control operations.
\nMust be computer literate and knowledgeable in security systems i.e. Genetec security Centre.
\nHolder of a valid Zambian driver\u2019s license.
\nMust have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.<\/p>\n
