Action Against Hunger-USA, an independent NGO, currently manages operations in 9 countries: Kenya, South Sudan, Nigeria, Pakistan, Cambodia, Tanzania, Uganda, Haiti and Somalia. Action Against Hunger-USA has over $92 million in programs, and approximately 2000 staff based in in the various country offices and the three Head Quarter Locations of New York City, Washington D.C, Nairobi. Additional growth is anticipated.<br \/>\nI. Summary of Position<br \/>\nThe Project Officer will oversee the implementation of the project activities under the strategic guidance of the Project Team Lead. The officer ensures the day-to-day running of the project related matters, including community engagement, capacity development, financial and budget delivery management, information sharing and monitoring. He\/she will work closely with line ministries and other project partner and ensure activities are approved, implemented, monitored and reported on time within budget and scope to contribute to the overall assurance of project success. He\/she will work collaboratively with all team members but most closely with the Project Team Leader. The officer will be required to work in a changing and dynamic environment with multiple priorities and pressing demands.<br \/>\nThe Project Officer<br \/>\nKey Activities in Your Role Will Include<br \/>\n\u2022 Develop project activity plans, updated on monthly basis in collaboration with stakeholders and oversee implementation to high standards by scope and timelines.<br \/>\n\u2022 In collaboration with Climate Smart leaders (Lead farmers), identify and promote local innovations through adaptive research among stakeholders (farmers) in response to climate change in their communities<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure for successful planning, coordination and implementation of integrated and multi-sectoral activities targeting households including market assessments and other interventions.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure that the Action Against Hunger project activities in the assigned area of operation are implemented in accordance with Action Against Hunger standard rules, regulations and operational procedures, agreed strategies, implementation plans and requirements.<br \/>\n\u2022 Organize and support running of all Action Against Hunger project activities in the target camps, with groups and associations.<br \/>\n\u2022 Provide inputs to the design &amp; utilization of project information gathering tools &amp; project activity manuals throughout project implementations as well as participate in Food<br \/>\nAction Against Hunger-USA<br \/>\nProject Officer<br \/>\nLast update Jan\/19<br \/>\n\u2022 Security and Livelihoods related data collection including rapid needs assessment and joint assessments.<br \/>\n\u2022 Contribute to the development of viable community mobilisation strategies for targeting, registration, and follow-up of Seeds of Hope beneficiaries.<br \/>\n\u2022 Plan and execute Food Security and Livelihoods related capacity building for targeted communities.`<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure that targeting of beneficiaries is done in a transparent and gender sensitive and conflict sensitive way.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure conduct robust community and beneficiary mobilization and registration as per the procedural standards while engaging effectively with community structures including village committees to maintain good working relations.<br \/>\n\u2022 Prepare and compile activity project reports on weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and yearly and share with the team and supervisor.<br \/>\n\u2022 Take lead in documentation and sharing of impact\/success stories and best practices to promote learning (capture photos\/videos for social medial publications).<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure the validation and use of project tools both Action Against Hunger and other donor requisites.<br \/>\n\u2022 Organize and link project documentations into the Action Against Hunger\u2019s No Hunger Forum (NHF) for record and follow up.<br \/>\nRequired Qualification and Proficiency Experiance<br \/>\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in social science, agricultural economics, veterinary, agronomy and development studies.<br \/>\n\u2022 Minimum of 3+ years of experience in direct implementation of integrated projects (preferably climate change adaptation, agricultural resilience , value chain analysis, agri-business training)<br \/>\n\u2022 Extensive experience in community participation and consultative-implementation methods.<br \/>\n\u2022 Flexibility to adjust to new implementation practices and new strategic guidance.<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning in NGO context.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be self-driven<br \/>\n\u2022 Good facilitation, analytical, planning and report writing skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience in community engagement and mobilization exercises<br \/>\n\u2022 Good supervisory and organizational skills, good interpersonal skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Excellent analytical skills combined with a proactive, energetic approach to problem solving<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge in one of the technical sector (Agriculture, Agribusiness, Food Security &amp;
