\nJob Summary
\nTo ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems, automotive equipment, and air conditioning units within the Smelter operations.
\nJob Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of electrical systems, including high and low voltage equipment, motor controls, and instrumentation.
\nDiagnose and repair faults in automotive electrical systems, engines, transmissions, and other mechanical components of mining vehicles and equipment.
\nInstall, maintain, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems in vehicles, offices, and other facilities.
\nConduct thorough hazard analysis before commencing work and strictly adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.
\nOperate and maintain a range of workshop machinery and equipment safely and effectively.
\nHandle various materials and chemicals in accordance with established safety protocols and environmental guidelines.
\nImplement and maintain quality control (QC) standards for all repairs and installations, ensuring high levels of workmanship.
\nAccurately record maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment performance.
\nCollaborate with other maintenance teams and operational personnel to ensure minimal downtime and efficient production.<\/p>\n
Job Qualifications<\/p>\n
Craft Certificate Electrical, Automotive, or Air Conditioning.
\nProven experience in electrical maintenance, automotive repair, and air conditioning systems, preferably within a mining or heavy industrial environment.
\nStrong understanding of Chemicals Handling and Safety Procedures.
\nDemonstrated ability to perform Equipment Maintenance and troubleshoot complex issues.
\nProficiency in Hazard Analysis and risk mitigation.
\nSkilled in Machinery Operation relevant to the trade.
\nExperience with Materials Handling in an industrial setting.
\nKnowledge of Metals and their properties in relation to equipment repair.
\nCommitment to Quality Control (QC) and delivering high standards of work.
\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.
\nExcellent communication and problem-solving skills.<\/p>\n
