In line with this commitment, we are pleased to announce an exciting career development opportunity under our Head Office as Branch Operations Officer \u2013 Controls.<br \/>\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES<br \/>\n1. KYC &amp; Customer Onboarding Controls<br \/>\nVerify KYC and account opening documentation against company and regulatory standards.<br \/>\nMonitor AML\/CFT controls and escalate suspicious activities to the Risk Department.<br \/>\n2. Control Monitoring &amp; Compliance<br \/>\nMonitor daily operational activities for compliance with policies and regulations.<br \/>\nReview and reconcile branch operational accounts.<br \/>\nEnsure timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding items.<br \/>\nConduct spot checks in high-risk areas (cash, vault, KYC records).<br \/>\nVisit all local branches monthly and upcountry branches quarterly.<br \/>\n3. Policy &amp; Procedure Implementation<br \/>\nEnsure staff understand and comply with operational policies and controls.<br \/>\nAssist in updating procedures in line with regulatory changes and best practices.<br \/>\nTrain and guide staff on compliance, control standards, and risk awareness.<br \/>\n4. Risk Identification &amp; Mitigation<br \/>\nIdentify control gaps and operational risks and recommend corrective actions.<br \/>\nEscalate significant control breaches promptly to management.<br \/>\nSupport implementation of risk mitigation measures and operational efficiency improvements.<br \/>\n5. Audit Support &amp; Reporting<br \/>\nCoordinate with internal and external auditors during reviews.<br \/>\nTrack and ensure closure of audit and inspection findings.<br \/>\nPrepare and submit timely reports on reconciliations, control breaches, and compliance status.<br \/>\nKEY REQUIREMENTS<br \/>\nUniversity degree in Business, Finance, or related field.<br \/>\nMinimum 2 years\u2019 experience in financial services operations.<br \/>\nStrong knowledge of reconciliations (suspense, NFS, bill payments, advanced accounts) and branch control processes.<br \/>\nGood knowledge of computer systems and accounting\/database software.<br \/>\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.<br \/>\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills in a cross-cultural environment.<br \/>\nDetail-oriented, with strong time management and ability to work under pressure.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
