In all cases, the job purpose of a lecturer is to teach, carry out student assessments, conduct research and community service. The University is also inviting applications for various technical and administrative positions as below.
\n1.0 SCHOOL OF MEDICINE AND HEALTH SCIENCES
\n1. 1 Lecturer \u2013 Human Anatomy (1 position) Required qualifications:
\nMust have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include English Language and Mathematics
\nMust have an earned Bachelor of Science in Human Anatomy, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Science in Nursing Sciences or related health science discipline from a reputable and accredited University
\nMust have an earned Masters of Science in Human Anatomy from a reputable and accredited University
\nMust have functional computer literacy skills
\nMust have a minimum of two years teaching experience at University level
\nProof of research and publications will be also an added advantage
\nA PhD in Human Anatomy or Nursing Science will equally be an added advantage
\nMust be a member of a relevant regulatory body with a valid practicing license
\n1.2 Lecturer \u2013 Human Physiology (1 position) Required qualifications:
\nMust have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include English Language and Mathematics
\nMust have an earned Bachelor of Science in Physiology, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine, Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, and Bachelor of Nursing\/Nursing Sciences from a reputable and accredited University.
\nMust have an earned Master of Science in Human Physiology from a reputable and accredited University
\nMust have functional computer literacy skills
\nMust have a minimum of two years teaching experience at University level
\nProof of research and publications will also be an added advantage
\nA PhD in Physiology will be an added advantage as well
\nSenior Lecturer, Associate Professor, Professor will be added advantage
\nMust be a member of a relevant regulatory body with a valid practicing license
\n1.3 Lecturer \u2013 Pharmacognosy (01 position) Required qualifications:
\nMust have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include
\nEnglish Language and Mathematics
\nMust have an earned Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a reputable and accredited University
\nMust have an earned Master of Pharmacognosy or related discipline from a reputable and accredited University
\nMust have functional computer literacy skills
\nMust have a minimum of two years teaching experience at University level
\nProof of research and publications will also be an added advantage
\nA PhD in Pharmacognosy will be an added advantage as well
\nMust be a member of a relevant regulatory body with a valid practicing license
\nLaboratory Demonstrator (1 position)
\nJob\u00a0purpose:\u00a0To work in the Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology and Microbiology\/Biomedical laboratories
\nRequired qualifications:
\nMust have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include English Language and Mathematics
\nMust have an earned Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, Physiotherapy or Pharmacy from a reputable and accredited University
\nMust have a minimum of two years practical work experience preferably in a higher learning institution
\nMust have functional computer literacy skills
\nKnowledge in Basic First Aid will be an added advantage
\n2.0 SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE AND NATURAL SCIENCES
\n2.1 Lecturer \u2013 Crop Science (1 position) Required qualifications:
\nMust have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include Mathematics and English Language
\nMust have an earned Bachelor of General Agriculture, Sustainable Agriculture and Crop Science from a reputable and accredited University
\nMust have an earned Master of General Agriculture, Sustainable Agriculture and Crop Science from a reputable and accredited University
\nMust have functional computer literacy skills
\nMust have a minimum of two years teaching experience at University level Proof of research and publications will also be an added advantage
\nA PhD in General Agriculture, Sustainable Agriculture and Crop Science from a reputable and accredited University will be an added advantage
\nMust be a registered member of a relevant regulatory body with a valid practicing license
\n2.2 Lecturer \u2013 Fisheries and Aquaculture (1 position) Required qualifications:
\nMust have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include Mathematics and English Language
\nMust have an earned Bachelor of Aquaculture from a reputable and accredited University
\nMust have an earned Master of Aquaculture from a reputable and accredited University
\nA PhD in Aquaculture from a reputable and accredited University will be an added advantage
\nMust have functional computer literacy skills
\nMust have a minimum of two years teaching experience at University level
\nProof of research and publications will also be an added advantage
\nMust be a registered member of a relevant regulatory body with a valid practicing license
\nLaboratory Technician (1 position)
\nJob purpose:\u00a0To perform soil sampling, testing, and analysis, carry out student demonstrations and laboratory activities under the guidance of the lecturer and ensuring proper laboratory conduct and adherence to safety procedures.
\nRequired qualifications:
\nMust have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include English Language and Mathematics
\nMust have an earned diploma in Laboratory Technology
\nA Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology Sciences, or Laboratory Technology from a reputable and accredited University will be an added advantage
\nMust have functional computer literacy skills
\nMust have a minimum of two years practical work experience preferably in a higher learning institution
\nKnowledge in Basic First Aid will be an added advantage
\n3.0 SCHOOL OF SOCIAL SCIENCES
\nLecturer \u2013 Economics (1 position) Required qualifications:
\nMust have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must
\ninclude Mathematics and English Language
\nMust have an earned Bachelor of Economics from a reputable and accredited University
\nMust have an earned Master of Economics from a reputable and accredited University
\nA PhD in Economics from a reputable and accredited University will be an added advantage
\nMust have functional computer literacy skills
\nMust have a minimum of two years teaching experience at University level
\nProof of research and publications will also be an added advantage
\n4.0 VICE CHANCELLOR\u2019 DEPARTMENT
\nAssistant Software Developer (1 position)
\nJob\u00a0purpose:\u00a0To work on the development of in-house software projects that helps in the smooth operations of the University.
\nRequired qualifications:
\nMust have a full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include English Language and Mathematics
\nMust have an earned Bachelor of ICT, Computer Science, or IT from a reputable and accredited University will be an added advantage
\nMust have two years relevant work experience in a reputable organization
\n5.0 REGISTAR\u2019S DEPARTMENT
\n5.1 Management Secretary I (1 position)
\nJob purpose:\u00a0To provide high level secretarial and other related services to Principal Officers in order to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the office.
\nRequired qualifications:
\nMust have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits or better that must include English Language
\nMust have a Diploma in Secretarial and Office Management from a reputable and accredited College
\nMust have a Certificate in Shorthand and Typewriting with speeds of 100\/120 wpm in shorthand and 55\/65 wpm in typewriting
\nMust have a Bachelors in Secretarial and Office Management from a reputable and accredited University will be an added advantage
\nMust have a minimum of three years post-qualifying experience in secretarial duties or office management in a busy and reputable organisation at a similar or higher level
\nMust have functional computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
\nMust be a fully paid-up member of the Zambia Institute of Secretaries
\n5.2 Management Secretary III (1 position)
\nJob\u00a0purpose:\u00a0To provide high level secretarial and other related services to Senior Officers in order to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the office.
\nRequired qualifications:
\nMust have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits or better that must include English Language
\nMust have a Diploma in Secretarial and Office Management from an accredited and reputable College
\nMust have a Certificate in Shorthand and Typewriting with speeds of 80\/90 wpm in shorthand and 55\/65 wpm in typewriting
\nMust have high computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
\nMust have at least three years practical work experience in a reputable organization
\nMust be a fully paid-up member of the Zambia Institute of Secretaries
\n5.3 Security Officer \u2013 Operations (1 position)
\nJob purpose:\u00a0To protect lives and ensure the University properties are secured from any intrusion, theft, tempering or damage.
\nRequired qualifications:
\nMust have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include English Language
\nMust have a Diploma in Law, Conflict Management Studies, or Police and Security Studies from an accredited and reputable college or university
\nA Degree in Law or Police and Security Studies from a reputable and accredited University will be an added advantage
\nMust have Police or Military training
\nShould at least have attained the level of inspector in the Zambia Police
\nMust have a minimum of two years\u2019 work experience
\nMust have functional computer literacy skills
\n5.4 Mechanical Fitter (1 position)
\nJob purpose:\u00a0To Install, maintain and repair of all mechanical plant and equipment used in the University.
\nRequired qualifications:
\nMust have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits
\nMust have a Craft Certificate in Mechanical fitting from a reputable and accredited Institution
\nMust have a minimum of three years\u2019 work experience in a reputable processing factory\/industry with exposure to different types of motors
\n5.5 Plumber (1 position)
\nJob\u00a0purpose:\u00a0To install, repair and maintain plumbing systems to ensure a safe and functional water supply, drainage and sanitation system within the University.

\nMust have a minimum of two years\u2019 work experience in a reputable organization
\n5.6 Painter (1 position)
\nJob purpose:\u00a0To carry out iinternal and external painting of buildings to the required standard as determine and creation of signage for the University.
\nRequired qualifications:
\nMust have a Grade School 12 Certificate with at least five Credits
\nMust have a Craft Certificate in Painting from a reputable and accredited Institution
\nMust have a minimum of two years\u2019 work experience in a reputable organization
\n5.7 Driver (2 positions)
\nJob\u00a0purpose:\u00a0To drive University motor vehicles and carry out errands, report faults and keep vehicles clean and neat at all times.
\nRequired qualifications:
\nMust have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits
\nMust have a Class C or CE Driver license
\nPossession of a Craft Certificate in Mechanics will be an added advantage
\nMust have a minimum of two years driving experience in a reputable organization
