DAI Global is searching for a Key Expert 1 Senior Welfare Advisor to be proposed for the EU funded technical assistance (TA) project \u201cEqual Chances for Human Development\u201d in Zambia.
\nThe job description (key objectives and tasks) can be summarised as follows:
\nImprove the quality and efficiency of Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) service provision for young children (0-8).
\nIncrease the efficiency in the monitoring, coordination and the prevention from and response to adolescents\u2019 health priorities as per Adolescents Health Strategic Plans of the Ministry of Health.
\nImprove the capacities and coordination of the multi-sectorial taskforce, both in prevention from and response to Violence Against Children (VAC), Gender-based Violence (GBV) and other vulnerabilities of children and adolescents.
\nImprove efficiency in integrated service provision to children and adolescents by the main involved Ministries (Education, Health and Community Development and Social Services) in coordination with other line ministries: Victim support unit (VSU) under Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security (MHAIS), Ministry of Justice (MoJ), Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD).

\nThe Key Expert 1 Senior Welfare Advisor should have the following qualifications, skills and professional experience:<\/p>\n
She\/he must possess a minimum of a Masters\u2019 degree in social sciences, cooperation and development studies, institutional development, public sector development or a relevant, directly related discipline equivalent, or a Bachelor Degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
\nExcellent knowledge of written and spoken English
\nExperience in capacity strengthening in protection from and response to VAC and SGBV to national ministries and\/or CSO for at least 6 years.
\nExperience in training on VAC for at least 2 years in welfare projects or relevant projects with a focus on protection or qualified training establishments.
\nExperience in training on SGBV in welfare projects or relevant projects with a focus on protection or qualified training establishments is an advantage.
\nExperience in health is an advantage.
\nTeam management experience for at least 2 years.
\nExperience of at least 2 years related to institutional capacity strengthening and\/or multi-sectoral coordination and liaison between the Ministries of welfare\/social development and other different national level ministries and\/or different sectors.
\nExperience in managing and\/or coordinating multi-sectoral programmes.
\nExperience in adolescents\u2019 health is an advantage.
\nExperience in mental health is an advantage.
\nExperience in Southern Africa is an advantage<\/p>\n
