DAI Global is searching for a Key Expert 2: Early Childhood Development and Education Expert to be proposed for the EU funded technical assistance (TA) project \u201cEqual Chances for Human Development\u201d in Zambia.
\nThe job description (key objectives and tasks) can be summarised as follows:<\/p>\n
Improve the quality and efficiency of Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) service provision for young children (0-8).
\nIncrease the efficiency in the monitoring, coordination and the prevention from and response to adolescents\u2019 health priorities as per Adolescents Health Strategic Plans of the Ministry of Health.
\nImprove the capacities and coordination of the multi-sectorial taskforce, both in prevention from and response to Violence Against Children (VAC), Gender-based Violence (GBV) and other vulnerabilities of children and adolescents.
\nImprove efficiency in integrated service provision to children and adolescents by the main involved Ministries (Education, Health and Community Development and Social Services) in coordination with other line ministries: Victim support unit (VSU) under Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security (MHAIS), Ministry of Justice (MoJ), Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD).<\/p>\n

\nThe Key Expert 2: Early Childhood Development and Education Expert should have the following qualifications, skills and professional experience:<\/p>\n
She\/he must possess a minimum of a Masters\u2019 degree in education, early childhood development and or social sciences, or a bachelor in the same fields plus 10 years of relevant professional experience.
\nExcellent knowledge of written and spoken English
\nMinimum of 10 years\u2019 experience working in the education sector, or related sectors to ECD
\nExperience of working in the public sector, or in international organizations or in technical assistance projects funded by multilateral or bilateral development partners for at least 2 years
\nMinimum of six years\u2019 experience of working in early childhood education projects
\nExperience in coordination and liaison between the Ministries of Education, Health and other Ministries responsible for ECD of at least 2 years.
\nExperience in ECD policy development and institutional capacity strengthening and\/or managing ECD multi-sectoral programmes is an advantage
\nExperience in Southern Africa is an advantage.<\/p>\n
