{"id":6598,"date":"2025-12-03T08:02:27","date_gmt":"2025-12-03T08:02:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/job\/rigger-at-emc-electrical-mechanical-contractor-limited\/"},"modified":"2025-12-08T00:14:28","modified_gmt":"2025-12-08T00:14:28","slug":"rigger-at-emc-electrical-mechanical-contractor-limited","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/?post_type=job_listing&p=6598","title":{"rendered":"Rigger at EMC Electrical Mechanical Contractor Limited"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0Responsibilities<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Must be able to align, level and anchor machinery<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Must be able to attach loads to rigging gear to support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Must be able to attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, and pole beams using bolts and clamps<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Must be able to Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces using chain blocks, lever hoists etc.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Dismantle and store lifting equipment after use<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Must be able to fabricate, set up, and repair rigging hoists and pulling gear using hand and tools.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Must be able to give rigging signals to workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads in order to ensure safety of workers and materials.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Must be able to select gear such as pulleys, slings and winches according to the load weights and sizes, facilities and work schedules.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Must be able to test rigging gear and equipment to ensure safety and reliability<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Other duties as instructed by the Supervisor<br \/>\n\u00a0Qualification Requirements:<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A full Grade 12 certificate<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Artisan certificate in Rigging<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Minimum 2 years\u2019 work experience in a reputable.<br \/>\n\u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Valid Silicosis certificate<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
