\nWe are inviting qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the position of Junior Accountant.
\nPosition Details
\n\u2022 Reporting to: Senior Accountant \/ CFO
\n\u2022 Start Date: Immediately \/ As soon as possible
\nKey Responsibilities
\n\u2022 Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and daily accounting entries
\n\u2022 Prepare and post journals, ledgers, and bank reconciliations
\n\u2022 Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
\n\u2022 Help prepare monthly financial reports and cash-flow statements
\n\u2022 Assist with payroll, PAYE, NAPSA and NHIMA submissions
\n\u2022 Keep proper filing of invoices, receipts and supporting documents
\n\u2022 Support internal audits and compliance
\n\u2022 Assist in loan-book accounting, interest postings and reconciliations for micro-finance operations
\n\u2022 Perform any other finance-related tasks assigned by the Senior Accountant
\nMinimum Requirements
\n\u2022 Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
\n\u2022 ZICA membership (at least licentiate level) is an added advantage
\n\u2022 0\u20132 years working experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
\n\u2022 Good understanding of accounting principles and strong Excel skills
\n\u2022 Knowledge of QuickBooks \/ Sage is a plus
\n\u2022 High attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
\n\u2022 Strong willingness to learn and grow
\nSalary & Benefits
\n\u2022 ZMW 3,000 \u2013 6,000 per month (depending on experience and expertise, negotiable)
