No. 18 of 2020, and the Zambia Academy of Sciences Constitution.<br \/>\n2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<br \/>\na)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Provide leadership to the Academy\u2019s Secretariat.<br \/>\nb)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Coordinate the provision of independent evidence-informed advice to government, the private sector and the general public.<br \/>\nc)\u00a0\u00a0Promote science, technology and innovation and enhance its application.<br \/>\nd)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Mobilise financial and other resources for the Academy.<br \/>\ne)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Establish and maintain relationships with government, industry, and the public<br \/>\nf)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Establish and maintain relationships with other scientific organisations.<br \/>\n3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:<br \/>\na)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0QUALIFICATIONS:<br \/>\nMinimum of a Masters Degree in any natural sciences or engineering discipline.<br \/>\nb)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0EXPERIENCE<br \/>\n\u00a0i.\u00a0Minimum of seven (7) years post-qualification experience, in a research\/development related institution, of which at least 3 years must have been at a senior management level.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0 ii.\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of how science academies operate.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0iii.\u00a0\u00a0Proven experience in resource mobilisation.<br \/>\nc)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0KEY SKILLS<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0i.\u00a0\u00a0Excellent written and oral communication skills<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0ii.\u00a0\u00a0Good numerical, Analytical and computational skills<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0iii.\u00a0\u00a0Strong leadership and management skills<br \/>\nd)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0ATTRIBUTES<br \/>\nSelf-motivated; Team player with motivational skills; Moral and Professional Integrity; Good public relations skills.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
