Reporting<br \/>\nManage the preparation of financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Zambian statutory requirements<br \/>\nOversee full accounting cycles for multiple clients including general ledger maintenance, month-end and year-end closures<br \/>\nPrepare consolidated financial statements for group entities<br \/>\nPrepare management accounts and financial reports for client decision-making<br \/>\nReview and ensure accuracy of financial data, reconciliations, and supporting schedules<br \/>\nPrepare notes to financial statements and disclosure requirements<br \/>\nBookkeeping &amp; Accounting Services<br \/>\nManage outsourced bookkeeping and accounting functions for client organizations<br \/>\nOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processing<br \/>\nEnsure proper recording of transactions and maintenance of accounting records<br \/>\nPerform and review bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations<br \/>\nProcess payroll and ensure compliance with employment regulations<br \/>\nManage fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules<br \/>\nClient Management<br \/>\nServe as primary contact for assigned accounting clients<br \/>\nBuild and maintain strong professional relationships through responsive service delivery<br \/>\nUnderstand client business operations and provide value-added accounting advice<br \/>\nConduct regular meetings with clients to discuss financial performance and address concerns<br \/>\nIdentify client needs and recommend appropriate solutions<br \/>\nEnsure client satisfaction through timely and quality service delivery<br \/>\nCompliance &amp; Internal Controls<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with Zambian Companies Act and other relevant legislation<br \/>\nAdvise clients on accounting policies, internal controls, and best practices<br \/>\nAssist clients with regulatory filings including PACRA annual returns<br \/>\nIdentify control weaknesses and recommend improvements<br \/>\nEnsure adherence to professional standards and firm quality control procedures<br \/>\nTeam Leadership &amp; Development<br \/>\nSupervise, mentor, and develop accounting assistants and junior accountants<br \/>\nDelegate assignments effectively and monitor progress<br \/>\nReview work performed by team members for accuracy and completeness<br \/>\nProvide training and technical guidance on accounting matters<br \/>\nConduct performance evaluations and support career development<br \/>\nSystems &amp; Process Improvement<br \/>\nImplement and optimize accounting systems and processes for clients<br \/>\nProvide guidance on accounting software selection and implementation<br \/>\nDevelop templates, tools, and procedures to enhance service delivery efficiency<br \/>\nSupport digital transformation initiatives for clients<br \/>\nBusiness Development<br \/>\nIdentify cross-selling opportunities within the existing client portfolio<br \/>\nContribute to proposal preparation for new accounting engagements<br \/>\nSupport business development activities and client retention initiatives<br \/>\nRepresent the firm professionally in client and networking interactions<br \/>\nQUALIFICATIONS &amp; EXPERIENCE<br \/>\nEssential<br \/>\nBachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field<br \/>\nProfessional accounting qualification (CA Zambia, ACCA, CIMA, ZICA, or equivalent)<br \/>\nMinimum 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a professional services environment<br \/>\nStrong knowledge of IFRS and Zambian statutory requirements<br \/>\nExperience in financial statement preparation and full accounting function management<br \/>\nProven experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously<br \/>\nTeam leadership or supervisory experience<br \/>\nPreferred<br \/>\nExperience working in a chartered accounting firm or professional services environment<br \/>\nExposure to diverse industries and business models<br \/>\nExperience with accounting software packages (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, SAP, or similar)<br \/>\nKnowledge of Zambian tax and regulatory compliance requirements<br \/>\nSKILLS &amp; COMPETENCIES<br \/>\nTechnical Skills<br \/>\nExpert knowledge of IFRS and Zambian financial reporting requirements<br \/>\nStrong understanding of accounting principles, concepts, and procedures<br \/>\nProficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel<br \/>\nFinancial analysis and interpretation skills<br \/>\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy<br \/>\nTechnical report writing abilities<br \/>\nProfessional Skills<br \/>\nExcellent client service and relationship management skills<br \/>\nStrong verbal and written communication skills in English<br \/>\nAnalytical and problem-solving abilities<br \/>\nEffective time management and organizational skills<br \/>\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines<br \/>\nCommercial awareness and business acumen<br \/>\nPersonal Attributes<br \/>\nHigh level of integrity and professional ethics<br \/>\nProactive and results-driven approach<br \/>\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively<br \/>\nAdaptability and willingness to learn<br \/>\nStrong work ethic and commitment to quality<br \/>\nResilience under pressure<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
