\nJob Purpose:
\n\u00a0
\nTo coordinate Drill & Blast Training and Assessment activities, supervising daily Training Tasks, scheduling all Trainings in the Training systems [Intuition INX] and Reporting the progress of all Training activities to the Training Superintendent
\n\u00a0
\nResponsibilities:<\/p>\n
Assign tasks as scheduled to the Drill & Blast Trainers, supervise daily training tasks and provides all the necessary training tools to help them carry out their duties effectively.
\nCoordinate all sectional Training and Assessment activities and ensure that they are being executed in accordance with the KML Training systems and assessment guideline.
\nCompile the weekly Training assignment schedule and send to the training superintendent.
\nManaging staff rosters in line with company policy.
\nEnsure all relevant short term planning is done in line with the company\u2019s training set objectives.
\nDirect liaison between the Training Department and other parties including but not limited to Load and Haul, maintenance and on site Contractors on matters relating to Training.
\nDeveloping and maintaining training material and assessments for the relevant disciplines.
\nMentoring Trainers and Assessors to ensure that quality training and assessment is provided.
\nManaging any issues arising from trainees attached to the relevant Trainers and discipline within the section
\nConducting training and assessment in the classroom and field as required.
\nEnsure that records of all training and development interventions are signed by the relevant individuals and filed in the appropriate training file.
\nProviding quality control over written documentation within the training section.
\nMaintaining a pro-active approach to all aspects of operational and behavioral safety and encourage teamwork within the department in line with KML company values.
\nSchedule Nominated trainings in the system Intuition INX and communicate the dates and duration to the client\/end user.
\nCommunicate with the external training provider and coordinate any external scheduled training.
\nConduct Operational performance review for all Drill & Blast Trainers before the contract due date.
\nCoach and mentor Trainers [new and old] on the job in order to improve the effectiveness of training delivery.
\nConduct Training Need Analysis (TNA) and training audits as directed by the Training Superintendent.
\nDevelop, review and update Learning Materials and Documentation (Manuals, PowerPoint Assessment tools etc.)
\nMaintain all Training records (electronically and in hard copies) and coordinate all simulator administrative duties.
\nAny other duties as directed by the Training Superintendent or the Training Manager.<\/p>\n

\nRequired Experience Education:<\/p>\n
Full Grade twelve certificate
\nDiploma in Teaching methodology or Technical Training.
\nDrill and Blast Certifications
\nValid Blasting License
\nMinimum of a Diploma in Mining Engineering
\nCertificate in supervisory\/leadership course.
\nCertificate in Computer skills (Word, Excel PowerPoint & Outlook)
\nCertificates in Surface Mobile equipment [SME] Operations in related field.
\nDriver\u2019s License.
\nAt least 3 years of operational experience and 1-year experience as Trainer\/assessor preferably in the mining industry.
\nKnowledge with regards the legislation that govern mine safety as well as the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Zambia and other safety statutory provisions.
