\nTo ensure the quality and compliance of construction, maintenance, and operational activities within the tailings facility. The QA\/QC Engineer will develop and implement quality assurance and quality control programs, monitor adherence to design and operational standards, and assist in maintaining the safety and integrity of tailings storage facilities.

\nKey Responsibilities
\n\u00a0
\n1. Quality Assurance and Control<\/p>\n
Develop and implement QA\/QC procedures for tailings facility projects and operations.
\nConduct quality inspections on construction and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
\nReview and approve construction materials, ensuring they meet required standards.<\/p>\n

\n2. Monitoring and Inspection<\/p>\n
Perform routine inspections of tailings facility structures, including embankments, liners, and drainage systems.
\nMonitor adherence to approved designs, project specifications, and work plans.
\nIdentify non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.<\/p>\n

\n3. Data Management and Reporting<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and material certifications.
\nPrepare QA\/QC reports detailing compliance status, observations, and recommendations.
\nTrack progress against quality benchmarks and key performance indicators (KPIs).<\/p>\n

\n4. Testing and Analysis<\/p>\n
Oversee laboratory and field testing for materials used in construction and operations (e.g., soil, concrete, and geosynthetics).
\nInterpret test results and provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with quality standards.<\/p>\n

\n5. Collaboration and Support<\/p>\n
Work closely with engineers, contractors, and project teams to address quality-related issues.
\nProvide technical support during audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
\nAssist in the preparation of method statements and construction work plans.<\/p>\n

\n6. Compliance and Safety<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations in all QA\/QC activities.
\nContribute to the development of emergency response plans and procedures.
\nPromote a culture of safety and quality across all tailings facility operations.<\/p>\n

\nQualifications<\/p>\n
Education:\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
\nCertification:\u00a0Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., ERB and EIZ). Certification in QA\/QC or equivalent is an advantage.<\/p>\n

\nExperience<\/p>\n
Minimum of 2 years of experience in QA\/QC roles, preferably in tailings facilities, geotechnical projects, or similar environments.
\nExperience in construction materials testing, quality control, or inspections.<\/p>\n

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and QA\/QC standards.
\nProficient in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
\nFamiliarity with construction materials testing and geotechnical principles.
