{"id":6628,"date":"2025-12-04T20:06:53","date_gmt":"2025-12-04T20:06:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/job\/procurement-officer-at-zambia-institute-of-mass-communication\/"},"modified":"2026-03-18T00:14:15","modified_gmt":"2026-03-18T00:14:15","slug":"procurement-officer-at-zambia-institute-of-mass-communication","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/?post_type=job_listing&p=6628","title":{"rendered":"Procurement Officer at Zambia Institute of Mass Communication"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>JOB OPPORTUNITY<br \/>\nThe Zambia Institute of Mass Communication (ZAMCOM) was established under the ZAMCOM Act of Parliament of 1996 to provide Communications and Media training and production services.<br \/>\nZAMCOM is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill in the following position;<br \/>\nPROCUREMENT OFFICER (TEMPORARY)<br \/>\nJOB PURPOSE<br \/>\nTo manage and coordinate procurement activities for both the Lodge and Trust Institution, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with procurement policies and procedures.<br \/>\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES<br \/>\nDevelops and implements procurement plans in line with institutional needs and budgets.<br \/>\nEnsures procurement activities adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.<br \/>\nDevelops reliable sources of supply for goods and services.<br \/>\nEstablishes and maintains cordial relationships with vendors and suppliers.<br \/>\nNegotiates cost-effective deals while ensuring quality and timely delivery.<br \/>\nMonitors supplier performance and compliance with contractual terms.<br \/>\nPrepares and monitors bid documents to ensure compliance with the bidding process.<br \/>\nConducts bid analysis and provide recommendations on purchases.<br \/>\nTracks orders and deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.<br \/>\nMonitors and enforces expediting of delayed orders with suppliers.<br \/>\nResolves procurement-related issues with suppliers and internal clients.<br \/>\nUpdates and maintains complete and accurate procurement records for audit and future reference.<br \/>\nPrepares quarterly procurement reports for management review.<br \/>\nPerform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.<br \/>\nQUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED<br \/>\nGrade Twelve (12) School Certificate.<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Public Procurement or equivalent.<br \/>\nProfessional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, ZIPS membership)<br \/>\nAt least 3 years working experience<br \/>\nKnowledge of ERP procurement systems.<br \/>\nStrong analytical and negotiation skills.<br \/>\nExcellent organizational and communication skills.<br \/>\nHigh ethical standards and confidentiality in procurement processes.<br \/>\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.<br \/>\nMeticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in procurement processes and documentation.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
