We are currently seeking a proactive and technically skilled\u00a0IT Officer\u00a0to join our growing team and help drive our digital transformation.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities\u00a0<br \/>\nAs an IT Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare technology systems. Your responsibilities will include:<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0Providing first-line technical support to clinical and administrative staff for hardware, software, and network issues<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0Managing and maintaining hospital information systems (HIS), electronic medical records (EMR), and other digital health platforms<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0Ensuring robust cybersecurity protocols, data privacy compliance, and regular system backups<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0Administering user accounts, access rights, and IT asset tracking<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0Supporting the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, workstations, printers, and medical IT equipment<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0Monitoring system performance and proactively identifying areas for improvement<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0Collaborating with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and implement upgrades<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0Delivering training sessions and user guides to enhance digital literacy among staff<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0Participating in IT audits, risk assessments, and disaster recovery planning<br \/>\nQualifications &amp; Experience\u00a0<br \/>\nWe are looking for a candidate who combines technical proficiency with a service-oriented mindset:<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0At least 2 years of hands-on experience in IT support, preferably in a healthcare or clinical environment<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, networking, and cybersecurity best practices<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0Familiarity with healthcare-specific systems such as EMR, PACS, LIS, or RIS is highly desirable<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of data protection regulations and healthcare IT standards (e.g., HIPAA, HL7, ICD-10) is an advantage<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and interpersonal skills<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and support a 24\/7 healthcare environment when needed<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0Membership or certification with ICTAZ (for Zambia) or equivalent professional body is a plus<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
