\nZambia Postal Services Corporation (Zampost), a State-Owned Enterprise mandated to provide postal, courier, and financial services across the country, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of\u00a0Procurement Manager.
\nPurpose of the Job
\nTo manage and coordinate the procurement and supply chain function in line with the Public Procurement Act, Regulations, and Zampost internal policies, and to ensure timely, transparent, and cost-effective procurement of goods, works, and services for the Corporation.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Develops, reviews, and implements procurement policies, procedures, and strategies.
\nPrepares and updates the Annual Procurement Plan in consultation with user departments.
\nManages tendering processes, including preparation of solicitation documents, receipt of bids, evaluation, and contract award.
\nEnsures full compliance with ZPPA requirements, reporting obligations, and internal controls.
\nCoordinates supplier sourcing, registration, evaluation, and performance monitoring.
\nProvides technical guidance to departments on procurement matters and contract management.
\nMaintains accurate procurement records and prepares periodic reports for Management and regulatory bodies.
\nSupervises and mentors procurement staff to enhance efficiency and service delivery.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
\nProfessional qualification such as CIPS Level 6 or its equivalent.
\nMember of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS).
\nMinimum of\u00a0five (5) years\u00a0relevant experience, with at least\u00a0two (2) years\u00a0at supervisory or managerial level.
\nDemonstrated knowledge of the Public Procurement Act, Regulations, and public-sector procurement procedures.
\nGood communication, report-writing, analytical, and negotiation skills.<\/p>\n
