Job Purpose
\nThe Site Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and customer-friendly operation of the LPG filling site. The role involves attending to customers, managing LPG cylinder filling, conducting safety checks, handling payments, maintaining inventory, and ensuring overall site safety and cleanliness.
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
\nCustomer Care<\/p>\n
Receive and assist customers
\nProvide customers with information regarding our product offering
\nOffer safety tips for customers on how to transport and store LPG cylinders.
\nHelp customers choose the right LPG products based on their needs.
\nEducate customers about the proper use, maintenance, and safety of LPG.
\nHandle complaints or issues with products in a timely and professional manner.<\/p>\n
Operations\u00a0<\/p>\n
Manage the filling process of LPG cylinders safely.
\nInspect cylinders for damage or wear before filling.
\nEnsure proper storage and handling of LPG cylinders.
\nRegularly check and maintain equipment used for filling LPG cylinders.
\nEnter records of filled cylinders and daily transactions into the system
\nMaintain cleanliness and order at the site<\/p>\n
Payments\u00a0<\/p>\n
Handle cash and process payments.
\nEnsure proper entry of payments into the system
\nConduct daily payment reconciliations
\nManage site petty cash<\/p>\n
Safety and Compliance\u00a0<\/p>\n
Monitor adherence to safety standards and regulations at the site.
\nConduct regular safety inspections.
\nTrain new staff on safety protocols, handling procedures, and emergency response plans.
\nMaintain records of safety incidents.
\nEnsure all necessary safety equipment is in working order and regularly inspected.<\/p>\n
Inventory Control and Stock Management Specialist<\/p>\n
Track inventory of LPG cylinders, regulators, and stoves and related accessories.
\nOrder new stock as needed and ensure proper storage conditions.
\nAssist in the safe and efficient loading and unloading of stock.
\nVerify quantities and documentation for each delivery.
\nMonitor product conditions.
\nMaintain accurate records of stock levels and assist in stocktaking.
\nManage delivery documentation and ensure proper data entry into the system<\/p>\n
Basic Equipment Maintenance<\/p>\n
Perform regular maintenance checks on LPG filling equipment and storage tanks.
\nInform management on the need for repair of malfunctioning machinery.
\nKeep track of maintenance schedules and repairs performed.<\/p>\n
Sales and Marketing\u00a0<\/p>\n
Assist in promoting LPG products and services to attract new customers.
\nHelp design and distribute promotional materials.
\nSupport to organize sales events and demonstrations to
\nConduct market research and gather feedback from customers.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
Grade 12 certificate.
\nCertificate or training in LPG handling, gas operations, or related field is an advantage.
\nPrevious experience in operations, customer care, or retail is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
Skills & Competencies<\/p>\n
Strong customer service and communication skills.
\nHigh level of integrity and accountability.
\nBasic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn equipment handling.
\nAbility to work safely and follow strict procedures.
\nGood record-keeping and basic computer skills.
\nAttention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
\nPhysically fit for lifting and moving cylinders (with proper technique).<\/p>\n
