\nMinimum Required Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
Degree in Nursing or Clinical Medicine
\n5 years\u2019 experience in the primary healthcare delivery of ART.
\nEvidence of experience in a technical support\/ coordination (training, mentoring and quality improvement initiatives)
\nPrior experience working in HIV epidemic control programs.
\nAppropriate registration with the GNC or HPCZ<\/p>\n
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
Master\u2019s in public health preferred
\nMiddle level management experience<\/p>\n

\nHIV Testing Services Planning and Coordination<\/p>\n
Coordinate high-impact HTS interventions in supported provinces.
\nProvide oversight on Provincial HTS Coordinators, professional and lay counselors\u2019 activities; provide onsite technical and supportive supervision; mentorship and coaching on High impact HTS strategies.
\nProvide technical support for the implementation of HIV testing services for adults and children, PBFW, and various modalities (e.g. index testing, HIVST).
\nEnsure quality of HIV testing and counseling services according to national guidelines.
\nSupport accurate and complete documentation of HIV testing activities.<\/p>\n
Quality Assurance and Improvement<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance to code of ethics and practice for counselors.
\nIdentify programmatic performance gaps and capacitate on gaps identified.
\nIdentify training needs and assist in the development of training plans for programs and supported facilities\/management areas.
\nIdentify bottlenecks and additional needs to improve service delivery and opportunities to exceed targets by staff.<\/p>\n
Linkage to Care and Retention<\/p>\n
Coordinate high impact client retention strategies in the supported provinces.
\nTogether with provincial teams, implement strategies to ensure effective linkage of HIV-positive individuals to treatment and prevention services.
\nStrengthen referral systems and follow-up mechanisms for newly identified HIV-positive clients.
\nProvide technical assistance for adherence preparation, adherence support, and retention in care for new initiates and clients with high viral loads.
\nSupport counseling services for clients with Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) and those with non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
\nImplement appointment system management and tracking of clients who are late for appointments or experience interruption in treatment.
\nSupport re-engagement strategies for clients returning to treatment.
\nCoordinate formal transfers in and out of the facilities, districts, and provinces.<\/p>\n
Programmatic Support and Reporting<\/p>\n
Contribute to developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job aids for HIV testing and retention services.
\nConduct training and mentorship for healthcare workers on HIV testing and retention best practices.
\nMonitor and analyze data to identify gaps and areas for improvement in HIV testing and retention outcomes.
\nTrack progress of HTS activities implementation in supported facilities.
\nTrack progress of supported facilities and other partners against set objectives and targets.
\nTrack Performance of direct report staff and provide performance reviews.
\nPrepare reports on HIV testing and retention activities.
\nCollaborate with other program components to ensure integrated service delivery.
\nEnsuring effective and efficient communication with other staff.<\/p>\n
