\nAccounts & Tax Accountant
\nLocation: Kitwe, Zambia
\nVital Beverages, a recognized producer of high-quality natural spring water products in Zambia, is seeking a\u00a0highly motivated and qualified Accounts & Tax Accountant\u00a0to join our finance team. This role is ideal for an individual with strong accounting expertise and a solid understanding of Zambian tax laws and compliance requirements.
\nPosition: Accounts & Tax Accountant
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Prepare, review, and file all statutory tax returns (VAT, PAYE, WHT, Income Tax, etc.) in accordance with\u00a0ZRA\u00a0requirements
\nEnsure accurate calculation, recording, and timely remittance of all tax obligations
\nAssist in preparing monthly financial statements, management accounts, and reconciliations
\nMaintain proper accounting records and support the month-end and year-end closing processes
\nReconcile tax accounts and address discrepancies promptly
\nLiaise with ZRA on tax matters, audits, and compliance queries
\nMonitor changes in tax legislation and advise management on implications
\nProcess and review accounting transactions in\u00a0Sage Evolution 200
\nSupport external audits by preparing required schedules and documentation
\nEnsure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
\nZICA membership\u00a0(or eligibility for membership) is required
\nMinimum of\u00a02\u20133 years\u2019 experience\u00a0in accounting and tax compliance
\nStrong knowledge of Zambian tax laws and statutory requirements
\nExperience using\u00a0Sage Evolution 200\u00a0is an added advantage
\nStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
\nHigh level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
\nAbility to work independently and meet strict deadlines<\/p>\n
