The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, management, and academic performance of the secondary school while maintaining the highest standards of integrity, inspirational leadership and establish a compelling vision for school excellence aligned with the Turkish Maarif Foundation\u2019s educational values and philosophy<br \/>\nDevelop and implement strategic plans that drive continuous improvement in academic achievement and institutional effectiveness<br \/>\nChampion innovation and best practice in secondary education<br \/>\nEnsure the school\u2019s mission, vision, and values permeate all aspects of school life<\/p>\n<p>Curriculum and Instructional Excellence<\/p>\n<p>Ensure effective implementation and continuous development of the 2023 Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) across all subject areas and year groups<br \/>\nOversee curriculum design, instructional quality standards, and assessment practices<br \/>\nMonitor teaching and learning effectiveness through rigorous quality assurance mechanisms<br \/>\nLead initiatives to enhance student achievement, critical thinking, and skill development<br \/>\nPromote integration of international educational standards and best practices<\/p>\n<p>Academic Performance and Student Outcomes<\/p>\n<p>Monitor and analyze student achievement data to identify trends and implement evidence-based interventions<br \/>\nSet ambitious yet achievable academic targets and hold staff accountable for student progress<br \/>\nFoster a culture of academic rigor and continuous recruitment and selection of high-quality teaching and non-teaching staff<br \/>\nEstablish and implement fair, transparent performance management systems<br \/>\nProvide mentoring, coaching, and efficient and strategic deployment of resources to support educational objectives<br \/>\nMaintain accurate financial records and comply with audit requirements<br \/>\nOptimize operational efficiency while maintaining educational quality<\/p>\n<p>Governance and Compliance<\/p>\n<p>Maintain full compliance with Independent Schools Association of Zambia (ISAZ) standards and regulatory requirements<br \/>\nEnsure adherence to Zambian education policy, legislation, and best practice guidelines<br \/>\nUphold institutional governance standards and reporting requirements<br \/>\nFacilitate accreditation processes and maintain international quality standards<\/p>\n<p>Community and Stakeholder Engagement<\/p>\n<p>Build and sustain strong partnerships with parents, families, and the local community<br \/>\nCommunicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding school vision, progress, and achievements<br \/>\nMaintain strong liaison with the Turkish Maarif Foundation and international partners<br \/>\nRepresent the school professionally in community, regional, and national forums<br \/>\nPromote the school\u2019s international reputation and accreditation standing<\/p>\n<p>Safety, Welfare, and Inclusion<\/p>\n<p>Foster a safe, secure, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for all students<br \/>\nEnsure child safeguarding policies and procedures are rigorously implemented and monitored<br \/>\nPromote equity, inclusion, and celebration of diversity across the school community<br \/>\nMaintain high standards of health, safety, and student well-being<\/p>\n<p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<br \/>\nEducation and Credentials:<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Education (essential)<br \/>\nMaster\u2019s degree in Education Administration, Educational Leadership, or related field (advantageous)<br \/>\nCurrent valid Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) Practicing License<br \/>\nCertified copies of academic and professional qualifications<\/p>\n<p>Professional Experience:<\/p>\n<p>Minimum 8\u201310 years of progressive experience in secondary school education<br \/>\nMinimum 3 years in a demonstrated senior leadership role (e.g., Head of Department, Deputy Head, or equivalent)<br \/>\nProven track record of improving student academic achievement and pastoral care outcomes<br \/>\nSubstantive experience implementing the 2023 CBC Curriculum framework<br \/>\nDocumented expertise in ISAZ guidelines, independent school management, and quality assurance processes<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge and Expertise:<\/p>\n<p>Comprehensive knowledge of Zambian education policy, regulatory frameworks, and quality standards<br \/>\nStrong understanding of international educational standards and accreditation requirements<br \/>\nExpertise in financial management and strategic resource allocation<br \/>\nDemonstrated ability to lead, motivate, develop, and evaluate teaching staff<br
