Job Title: Underwriting Intern

\nOverview
\nThe Underwriting Intern is a temporary role based at our Lusaka office. The successful candidate will work closely with the underwriting team to assist in various underwriting processes and gain valuable hands-on experience in the insurance industry.
\nMain duties will include the following:<\/p>\n
Assist in evaluating insurance applications and determining risk levels.
\nSupport the underwriting team in gathering and analyzing relevant data.
\nHelp in preparing quotations and documentation for prospective clients.
\nCollaborate with claims and finance departments to ensure seamless operations.
\nMaintain accurate records of underwritten policies and communications.
\nParticipate in reviewing policy renewals and modifications.
\nAssist in conducting market research to support underwriting decisions.
\nProvide general administrative support within the underwriting department.<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
A first degree\/ diploma in Insurance or a related field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
\nBasic understanding of underwriting principles and insurance standards.
\nStrong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
\nClear verbal and written communication skills.
\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).<\/p>\n
