ZLA, in partnership with Paralegal Alliance Network (PAN) and Transparency International Zambia (TI-Z), will be implementing a three-year project funded by the European Union (EU). The project, titled \u2018Strengthening the Role of CSOs and Citizens in Promoting Good Land Governance,\u2019 will be implemented in the Central Province (Mkushi and Serenje districts), Luapula Province (Mansa and Kawambwa districts), and North-Western Province (Kalumbila and Mufumbwe districts). ZLA is therefore soliciting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to take up six (6) positions of\u00a0District Project Officer (DPO), reporting to theProvincial Project Coordinator (PPC).The DPOwill be based in one of the six target districts.<br \/>\n1. Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Participate in the development and management of detailed project plans, including deliverables, budgets and work plans at the district level.<br \/>\nEstablish and maintain relationships with key district stakeholders, including government officials, CSOs, and traditional leaders.<br \/>\nTrack project progress and serve as the main point of contact for project updates at the district level, ensuring delivery to agreed quality, cost, and time standards.<br \/>\nSupport district-level learning and adaptive project management through evidence and feedback.<br \/>\nParticipate in policy advocacy and lobbying efforts at the district level.<br \/>\nSubmit district narrative reports to the PPC.<br \/>\nMobilise, coordinate and support community members, Community Land Advocacy committees (CLACs) and CSOs in the implementation of project activities.<br \/>\nRepresent the organisation in district meetings, forums, and public events to champion the project advocacy efforts.<br \/>\nEnsure integrity, transparency and compliance with ZLA and EU guidelines at the district level.<br \/>\nDocument success stories and submit district progress narrative reports to the PPC.<br \/>\nRepresent the project at district stakeholder engagements.<br \/>\nSubmit regular updates for the project log frame to the PPC.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a02. Skills, Qualifications and Experience<br \/>\nA suitable candidate for this position must possess the following qualifications and experience:<\/p>\n<p>Degree in Environmental Science, or relevant Social Science from a recognised institution with at least two years\u2019 relevant NGO experience.<br \/>\nExperience in capacity development of community members and NGOs.<br \/>\nWillingness to travel to target communities on a motorbike.<br \/>\nFlexible and able to work independently to meet deadlines.<br \/>\nStrong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.<br \/>\nValid Motorbike rider\u2019s license with at least 2 years\u2019 experience.<br \/>\nAbility to speak the local language of the target district will be desirable.<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
