{"id":6827,"date":"2025-12-17T18:02:27","date_gmt":"2025-12-17T18:02:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/job\/legal-officer-regulatory-and-enforcement-at-national-pension-scheme-authority-napsa\/"},"modified":"2026-03-17T00:14:12","modified_gmt":"2026-03-17T00:14:12","slug":"legal-officer-regulatory-and-enforcement-at-national-pension-scheme-authority-napsa","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/?post_type=job_listing&p=6827","title":{"rendered":"Legal Officer \u2013 Regulatory and Enforcement at National Pension Scheme Authority \u2013 NAPSA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NPS 04 \u2013 Legal Officer \u2013 Regulatory and Enforcement (1) ( Permanent &amp; Pensionable)<br \/>\nLocation: Lusaka Province<br \/>\nClosing Date: December 30, 2025<br \/>\nJob Description<br \/>\nThe Legal Officer Regulatory and Enforcement will assist the Manager Regulatory to prosecute defaulting employers by instituting the necessary legal process to recover contribution arrears; provide input in the activities of the lay prosecutors.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<br \/>\nPrepares or coordinates the preparation of court documents and submissions by lay prosecutors employed by the Authority.<br \/>\nInitiates and ensures proper drafting of court submissions to ensure the rulings made favour NAPSA.<br \/>\nAssesses all cases referred to legal and provide guidance on all preliminary legal issues and enforcement strategies including out of court settlements.<br \/>\nRepresents the Authority in Court.<br \/>\nReviews all Consent Orders and other legal agreements entered into by the Authority to ensure the Authority\u2019s protect the interests of NAPSA.<br \/>\nInitiates and leads discussions with defaulting employers to agree on out of court settlements.<br \/>\nProvides legal support to Contributions and Benefits Directorate on all legal matters arising from the interpretation and implementation of the NPS Act.<br \/>\nEnforces court action to ensure NAPSA is protected from the adverse consequences of non \u2013 compliance to court orders;<br \/>\nIdentifies gaps and risk trends and recommending remedial action and\/or legislative changes<br \/>\nPrepares and submits relevant reports as required.<br \/>\nGenerally assists the Legal Manager coordinate regulatory and enforcement actions;<br \/>\nAttends to other duties as assigned.<br \/>\nMinimum Qualifications<br \/>\nGrade 12 Certificate with 5 \u2018O\u2019 levels with Credit or better including English and Mathematics<br \/>\nBachelor of Laws (LLB)<br \/>\nPracticing Certificate<br \/>\nMinimum Experience Required<br \/>\nNot less than four (4) years of experience at a similar level and position, in an organisation of similar size or reputable law firm.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
