Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
The primary responsibilities of the role will be:<\/p>\n
Perform general and application control reviews for simple to complex computer operating systems;
\nPerform reviews of internal control procedures and security for systems under development and\/or enhancements to current systems;
\nCarry out other operational systems audit
\nPerform information systems control reviews including system development standards, operating procedures, system security, programming controls, communication controls, backup and disaster recovery, and system maintenance
\nExamining the functional and usable data on various computer networks and systems of the company to ensure that the information systems are processed properly
\nManaging the audit of software and hardware infrastructure
\nConduct operational, compliance, and investigative audits as assigned
\nCarry out training needs assessment and recommend training
\nAssist and advise Internal Audit management on the formulation and review of audit policies, plans, practices, risk management process control, governance processes and general development of the audit framework;
\nManage and control audit assignments embracing planning and control of audit work and reporting findings;
\nConduct research aimed at identifying system deficiencies and recommending the best corrective measures;
\nPrepare formal audit reports highlighting all pertinent observations, findings, evaluations and recommendations on proposed and existing processes, procedures and information systems;
\nPerform risk assessments on key business activities and recommend the most appropriate risk management strategies as well as monitor the identified risks.
\nProvide support and guidance to line management on the most appropriate ways of managing IT and Operational risks;
\nDevelop scripts for data extraction and analysis; and
\nProvide capacity building to Internal Audit Department staff on data analytics.<\/p>\n
Education Requirements<\/p>\n
Grade 12 School Certificate with five (5) \u2018O\u2019 Levels (Credit or better).
\nA University Degree in Information Technology\/Computer Science\/Data Analytics or any related field.
\nRelevant professional qualification such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), CISM will be an added advantage.
\n3-5 years\u2019 experience in systems internal or external audit
\nMembership to a relevant professional body.<\/p>\n
Required Skills<\/p>\n
Strong Data mining, analytical and programming skills.
\nSkill in working with data warehouses and business intelligence tools.
\nTechnical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
\nKnowledge of developing statistical models and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets
\nExcellent Communication, presentation and Interpersonal skills<\/p>\n
