Our client, in the microfinance sector is looking for a Junior Accountant to join their team.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance with Zambian Revenue Authority (ZRA) regulations, including VAT, PAYE, TOT, and WHT.
\nConduct internal audits and maintain financial records in accordance with compliance standards.
\nOversee smart invoicing systems, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and automation in billing processes.
\nPrepare and submit tax returns and financial reports to regulatory bodies.
\nImplement and optimize digital invoicing solutions to streamline payment processes.
\nMonitor and improve internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
\nAssist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
\nStay updated on industry trends, compliance changes, and technological advancements in accounting<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
\nDegree in Accountancy ,ZICA (CA) or Part qualified ACCA\/ CIMA Advanced Diploma level
\nPaid up Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
\nAt least two (2) years post qualifying work experience in a finance department<\/p>\n
Required Attributes<\/p>\n
Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
\nStrong Microsoft Excel and accounting system skills.
\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy in invoicing and record-keeping.
\nGood organizational and time management skills.
\nAbility to work under supervision and meet deadlines.
\nClear communication and interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n
