This encompasses ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant extraction of the mineral, adhering to all relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements. The role demands a proactive approach to optimize mining processes, maintain operational integrity, and contribute to the overall success of the mining project.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Plan and supervise amethyst mining operations.<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Conduct exploration, sampling, and evaluation of amethyst deposits.<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Design and oversee open-pit gemstone mining methods.<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Supervise gemstone recovery to reduce damage and loss.<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Prepare technical, safety, and production reports.<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Implement environmental management and mine rehabilitation plans.<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Supervise mine workers and field staff.<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Liaise with the Ministry of Mines and local stakeholders.<br \/>\nQualifications<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Mining Engineering (or Geology)<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Registered with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Gemology or gemstone mining training \u2013 an added advantage.<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Valid practicing license<br \/>\nExperience<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Minimum 3 years\u2019 experience in mining operations.<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Hands-on experience in amethyst mining (highly preferred).<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of Zambian mining laws and regulations.<br \/>\nSkills &amp; Competencies<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Strong knowledge of amethyst mining methods<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Mine planning and supervision skills.<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Good leadership and communication abilities.<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Ability to work in remote mining areas.<br \/>\n*\u00a0\u00a0Strong commitment to safety and environmental protection.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
