The EAZ head office is in Kabwe.<br \/>\nPosition Overview:\u00a0Environment Africa is seeking a passionate and dynamic National Finance Officer who will work on a part time basis (50%) to be based at the EAZ head office in Kabwe.<br \/>\nJob Title:\u00a0National Finance Officer<br \/>\nDuty Station: Kabwe<br \/>\nApplication Deadline:\u00a04 January 2026.<br \/>\nReporting to:\u00a0Country Director<br \/>\nJob Description<br \/>\nThe National Finance Officer is a key member of the Management Team and is responsible for the sound planning and management of the organizations finances with the aim of long-term financial sustainability.<br \/>\nJobseeker email alerts<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities:<br \/>\n\u2022 Strategic financial planning and technical support: provide leadership to annual budget preparation and monitor utilization against strategic objectives and provide financial expertise in proposal development.<br \/>\n\u2022 Reporting: ensuring the preparation of monthly, statutory, financial and management reports.<br \/>\n\u2022 Systems, processes and controls: provide leadership on the establishment and enforcement of internal financial procedures and controls.<br \/>\n\u2022 Risk and Compliance: Ensure all documents are electronically and physically filed and available for internal and external audits; manage the external audits and ensure audit recommendations are being implemented; and manage the resolution of donor audits as they pertain to grant management and compliance.<br \/>\n\u2022 Representation: Participate actively in partner, donor and other meetings.<br \/>\n\u2022 Tax compliance: Ensure EAZ complies with local tax legislation and other statutory requirements.<br \/>\n\u2022 Cash flow Management: Supervise cash flow forecasting and management to ensure optimal utilization, and security of available cash resources.<br \/>\nSelection Criteria:\u00a0Selection will be based on the following minimum qualifications, experience and competencies:<br \/>\n\u2022 University degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or a related field.<br \/>\n\u2022 Membership in an internationally recognized professional accounting body such CA,<br \/>\nCIS, CPA, ACCA or CIMA, is an added advantage<br \/>\n\u2022 Excellent computer skills including use of MS Office packages and accounting software such as PASTEL<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience of setting up and managing donor compliance monitoring systems, developing and implementing relevant tools;<br \/>\n\u2022 Minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience of which at least 3 years should be in a leadership position in an NGO environment<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience of managing grants\/contracts from various donors with ability to provide clear guidance on donor policies and procedures to other staff<br \/>\n\u2022 Must be self-initiating and be able to work independently as well as in a team environment<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to make sound decisions and resolve problems, exercising the highest level of responsibility in handling confidential and sensitive issues in a mature manner.<br \/>\n\u2022 High ethical standards and impeccable integrity.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
