\nJob Purpose
\nThe Pharmacist Operations Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination, compliance, and performance of all pharmacy operations under Kanev Business Solution Ltd. The role ensures that all pharmacists and pharmacy outlets operate efficiently, ethically, and in full compliance with ZAMRA, HPCZ, and Ministry of Health regulations, while supporting business growth, profitability, and brand integrity.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nOversee day-to-day pharmacy operations across all Kanev Business Solution Ltd pharmacy outlets.
\nEnsure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are implemented and consistently followed.
\nCoordinate pharmacist duty rosters, shifts, and coverage to ensure uninterrupted service.
\nMonitor service delivery standards and customer care across all pharmacies.
\nEnsure optimal workflow and productivity within pharmacy operations.
\nProvide direct supervision, guidance, and mentorship to all pharmacists.
\nEnsure all pharmacists hold valid licenses and annual practicing certificates.
\nConduct regular performance appraisals and address performance gaps.
\nEnforce professional conduct, ethics, and accountability among pharmacists.
\nCoordinate onboarding, training, and continuous professional development (CPD).
\nEnsure full compliance with HPCZ, ZAMRA, and Ministry of Health regulations.
\nPrepare pharmacies for inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews.
\nMaintain proper documentation, licenses, permits, and statutory records.
\nEnsure safe storage, dispensing, and handling of medicines, including controlled drugs.
\nInvestigate and resolve compliance breaches, medication errors, or professional misconduct.
\nOversee procurement, stock management, and supplier relationships.
\nEnsure adequate stock levels while minimizing expiries and losses.
\nMonitor ordering cycles, pricing structures, and stock movement.
\nImplement inventory control systems and conduct regular stock audits.
\nEnsure cold-chain management and proper storage conditions are maintained.
\nSupport pricing strategies in collaboration with finance and management.
\nMonitor pharmacy revenue performance, margins, and cost controls.
\nPrevent losses arising from theft, pilferage, or system manipulation.
\nReview daily sales, prescriptions, and dispensing reports.
\nContribute to budgeting, forecasting, and business expansion planning.
\nIdentify operational risks and implement corrective measures.
\nEnsure segregation of duties and strong internal controls within pharmacies.
\nAddress issues of overcharging, price manipulation, or unethical practices.
\nImplement fraud-prevention measures and disciplinary processes where necessary.
\nPrepare and submit operational, compliance, and performance reports.
\nProvide regular updates to senior management on pharmacy operations.
\nServe as the key liaison between pharmacists, management, regulators, and suppliers.
\nEscalate critical operational or compliance issues promptly.
\nSupport the opening of new pharmacy outlets and service expansion.
\nStandardize pharmacy operations across all branches.
\nIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality, and profitability.
\nParticipate in strategic planning and implementation initiatives.
\nRegulatory compliance rate (zero critical violations)
\nPharmacy revenue growth and margin control
\nStock loss and expiry reduction
\nPharmacist performance and service quality
\nAudit and inspection outcomes
\nCustomer satisfaction levels
\nQualifications & Experience
\nBachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) \u2013 mandatory
\nRegistered and licensed with HPCZ
\nMinimum 5\u20137 years\u2019 experience in pharmacy practice, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
\nStrong knowledge of Zambian pharmacy laws and regulations
\nExperience in multi-branch pharmacy operations is an added advantage
