The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Safely operate ambulances in both emergency and non-emergency situations.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Transport patients, medical staff, and equipment to designated locations.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and readiness of the ambulance always.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Conduct routine checks on vehicle systems (fuel, oil, brakes, tires, lights, other ambulance gadgets).<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Follow traffic laws and emergency driving protocols<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Complete trip logs, mileage reports, and incident documentation.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Provide compassionate support and reassurance to patients during transport.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Distribution of drugs and laboratory supplies to the peripheral clinics.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Collection of consumables from stores and essential drugs from, Lusaka, the district health office, and the province.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0To ensure that safety protocols for the driver and passengers, such as seatbelt usage, speed limits, or emergency procedures during transit are strictly adhered to.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Replenishing of the First Aid Box.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0To report faults or any car breakdown to transport section immediately as per laid down procedure.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0To conduct any other work-related administrative activities as assigned by authorizing line manager.<br \/>\nQualifications and Experience<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Full grade 12 Certificate.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Valid driver\u2019s license with a class C and above.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Certification in defensive or emergency driving.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Preferably 3 years\u2019 driving experience<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond quickly in emergencies.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Strong communication skill.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ability to work as team.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Physical ability to assist with patient lifting and movement.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
