\nJob Purpose
\nThe Operations and Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and transportation. Ensuring products are procured, loaded, cleared and delivered efficiently and effectively while maintaining optimal security stock levels based on the business\u2019 sales cycle. Ensure efficiency at loading ports and clearance at the border points. Provide administrative support to project teams, assisting in the organization and documentation of project-related activities of day-to-day operational activities.
\nSummary of Key Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Coordinate and manage all aspects of logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and transportation
\nDirect and manage all aspects of logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment
\nDevelop and implement strategic plans to enhance logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels
\nCollaborate with vendors and third-party logistics providers to negotiate contracts, ensure compliance, and optimize service levels and costs
\nEnsure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers
\nMonitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure adequate stock levels
\nManage and maintain relationships with carriers and suppliers
\nUndertake the necessary due diligence and contract transporters who are compliant with the statutory and organization\u2019s HSSEQ policy. Conduct in service fleet inspections and ensure any noncompliance is picked and corrective measures are taken promptly.
\nTrack and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational efficiency
\nDevelop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
\nRegularly undertake route risk assessment and risk mapping. Ensure risk mitigation measures are discussed with transporters and adopted.
\nManager the company\u2019s Customer Service function, ensuring high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction through effective and efficient management of orders
\nProvide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
\nEnsure compliance with all regulatory requirements
\nRepresenting the company in industry engagements such as ERB, MOE, the Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS) and any other statutory body as maybe required from time to time.
\nEvaluate vendor performance and take corrective actions as needed to maintain high standards
\nDevelop and manage the logistics budget, monitoring expenses, analyzing variances, and implementing cost-saving initiatives
\nIdentify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the logistics operations to increase efficiency and accuracy
\nImplement best practices and industry standards to continuously improve logistics processes and procedures<\/p>\n

Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or any Business field
\nMust have a minimum of 6+ years\u2019 experience operations and logistics
\nProven experience working in the Oil Industry will have an added advantage.
\nProven experience as a Logistics Operations Manager or in a similar managerial role within the logistics or supply chain industry
\nStrong knowledge of logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution
\nExcellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
\nProficiency in using logistics and inventory management software and tools
\nA certification in HSSEQ will be a plus
\nStrong analytical skills are required.
\nMust be a member of ZCILT or any relevant professional body<\/p>\n
