\nReporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on air-conditioning units and\u00a0associated systems used in mobile equipment.
\nYour duties will include but are not limited to the following:<\/p>\n
Conduct inspections, servicing, and repairs on air-conditioning on heavy mobile equipment and light mobile equipment.
\nDiagnose faults and carry out corrective maintenance to restore equipment performance.
\nPerform preventative maintenance tasks to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life.
\nEnsure compliance with refrigeration handling, environmental, and mine safety standards.
\nMaintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and refrigeration gas usage logs in the CMMS.
\nSupport maintenance teams during breakdowns and respond to urgent air conditioning issues on mobile equipment.
\nInstall, replace, and commission air-conditioning units and components as required.
\nIdentify recurring faults and recommend improvements to enhance system reliability.
\nAdhere to safe working practices and participate in risk assessments and permit-to-work processes\u00a0<\/p>\n
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n
Full Grade Twelve School Certificate
\nMinimum Craft Certificate in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning or equivalent\u00a0
\nMinimum 2 years\u2019 experience working on heavy mobile equipment and light mobile equipment in the mining industry or similar\u00a0
\nStrong fault-finding, diagnostic, and technical repair skills.\u00a0
\nFamiliarity with CMMS systems (SAP, Pronto, etc.) is an advantage.
\nHolder of a valid \u00a0Zambian driver\u2019s license
\nMember of the Engineering Institute of Zambia
\nValid Permit to handle refrigerant gases will be an added advantage<\/p>\n
