IT SPECIALIST
\nThe Company has a vacant position for an\u00a0IT Specialist\u00a0and is inviting suitably qualified Zambians to apply and be considered for the position.
\nThe IT Specialist will report to the\u00a0ICT Manager, and the job description shall include the following:<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Troubleshooting:\u00a0Identifying and fixing issues with networks, servers, workstations, and printers.<\/p>\n
Data Management:\u00a0Performing data backups and disaster recovery procedures.<\/p>\n
Policy Implementation:\u00a0Developing and implementing IT policies and procedures.<\/p>\n
Information Security:\u00a0Maintaining information security, implementing security measures, and monitoring security certificates to ensure company compliance with requirements.<\/p>\n
System Management:\u00a0Ensuring that computer hardware and operating systems are running smoothly.<\/p>\n
System Maintenance:\u00a0Installing and updating company software and hardware as needed.<\/p>\n
System Monitoring:\u00a0Monitoring system performance and anticipating the cost of replacing or updating computer items.<\/p>\n
Network Administration:\u00a0Managing and securing the company\u2019s networks.<\/p>\n
Software Development:\u00a0Creating and maintaining custom applications.<\/p>\n
Database Administration:\u00a0Managing and maintaining databases to ensure data integrity and accessibility.<\/p>\n
Project Management:\u00a0Leading larger IT projects.<\/p>\n
Collaboration:\u00a0Working with the ICT Manager and Systems Administrator to optimise IT operations.<\/p>\n
Website Maintenance:\u00a0Updating and maintaining the company\u2019s website, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with web developers.<\/p>\n
Customer Service:\u00a0Providing technical support and troubleshooting for end users.<\/p>\n
Training:\u00a0Conducting training sessions on new technology and software for employees.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
Grade 12 Certificate with a minimum of credits in\u00a0Mathematics and English.<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s Degree in\u00a0Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.<\/p>\n
Minimum of\u00a0three (3) years\u2019 experience\u00a0in IT support or a related role.<\/p>\n
Skills<\/p>\n
Proficiency in\u00a0Windows and Linux\u00a0operating systems.<\/p>\n
Knowledge of networking concepts.<\/p>\n
Strong problem-solving skills.<\/p>\n
Excellent communication abilities.<\/p>\n
Team player.<\/p>\n
Certifications<\/p>\n
Relevant certifications such as\u00a0CompTIA A+,\u00a0Network+, or\u00a0Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals\u00a0are preferred.<\/p>\n
Professional membership to\u00a0ICTAZ.<\/p>\n
