Job Purpose
\nThe primary objective of the SME Loan Officer is to manage the full lending cycle for small and medium-sized businesses\u2014from marketing loan products and sourcing clients to processing applications, monitoring loans, and ensuring timely collections. The role serves as a crucial link between Spectrum Credit and its business clients, guiding them through the loan process while delivering excellent customer service.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities
\nMarketing & Sales<\/p>\n
Proactively market SME loan products to potential clients and acquire new walk-in clients.<\/p>\n
Client Management<\/p>\n
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with a portfolio of SME customers.<\/p>\n
Loan Processing<\/p>\n
Meet with applicants, collect financial data and documentation, and guide clients through the loan application process.<\/p>\n
Assessment & Risk Analysis<\/p>\n
Evaluate clients\u2019 financial status, assess creditworthiness, calculate risk ratios, and review completed loan applications to determine eligibility.<\/p>\n
Approval & Disbursement<\/p>\n
Prepare loan proposals, recommend applications for approval, and work with approved clients to complete documentation and set up payment plans.<\/p>\n
Monitoring & Recovery<\/p>\n
Monitor active loans and lead collections efforts for clients within the assigned portfolio.<\/p>\n
Compliance & Reporting<\/p>\n
Ensure strict compliance with company policies and regulatory standards, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports on loan approvals and denials for management.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience
\nEducation<\/p>\n
Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor\u2019s degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
At least\u00a02 years\u2019 experience\u00a0in SME business lending within a reputable Microfinance Institution or banking institution.<\/p>\n
Skills<\/p>\n
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.<\/p>\n
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.<\/p>\n
Sales-driven and results-oriented with strong customer service skills.<\/p>\n
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.<\/p>\n
