STUDENT AFFAIRS AND RESIDENTIAL SERVICES<br \/>\nASSISTANT RESIDENT OFFICERS<br \/>\nAs an Assistant Resident Officer, the successful candidate will assist in managing student hostels and ensuring a safe, supportive, and conducive learning environment for resident students.<br \/>\nMain Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<p>Assisting with room allocation in accordance with University Housing Policy<br \/>\nEnforcing University Housing and Residence Policies and Lease Agreements<br \/>\nSupporting the orientation of new resident students<br \/>\nManaging accommodation enquiries and resolving student complaints professionally<br \/>\nReporting student welfare matters to Management<br \/>\nPromoting positive residential community engagement in liaison with Student Counsellors<br \/>\nConducting room inspections for compliance and maintenance purposes<br \/>\nBeing available to resident students and responding to their needs<\/p>\n<p>To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>Diploma in Housekeeping Management<br \/>\nBachelor\u2019s Degree in Real Estate Management, Business Administration, or equivalent<br \/>\nMinimum of two (2) years\u2019 experience in student hostel management<br \/>\nCertification in Psychosocial Counselling, Fire Fighting, or First Aid will be an added advantage<\/p>\n<p>Key Skills and Attributes:<\/p>\n<p>Strong interpersonal and customer service skills<br \/>\nAbility to work with minimum supervision<br \/>\nHigh level of planning and organisational skills<br \/>\nComputer literacy<br \/>\nTeam player with high integrity<\/p>\n<p>2. STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES<br \/>\nSTUDENT COUNSELLORS<br \/>\nThe Student Counsellor will provide professional counselling and psychosocial support services to promote student mental health, wellbeing, and academic success, and will support the Dean of Students in managing student affairs.<br \/>\nMain Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<p>Planning and implementing an annual calendar of student activities<br \/>\nManaging student welfare matters and reporting to the Dean of Students<br \/>\nProviding individual and group counselling services<br \/>\nOffering career guidance to prospective students<br \/>\nEnforcing University rules as outlined in the Student Handbook<br \/>\nEstablishing collaborations with institutions managing psychological issues<br \/>\nSupporting student leadership and maintaining harmony on campus<br \/>\nAdministering first aid to students and staff<\/p>\n<p>To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>Degree in Psychology or a related field<br \/>\nDiploma in Nursing or Clinical Medicine will be an added advantage<br \/>\nAt least three (3) years\u2019 experience in a similar position within an academic institution will be an added advantage<\/p>\n<p>Key Skills and Attributes:<\/p>\n<p>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills<br \/>\nAbility to handle conflict<br \/>\nHigh levels of confidentiality<br \/>\nAbility to work with minimum supervision<\/p>\n<p>3. SCHOOL OF MEDICINE AND HEALTH SCIENCES<br \/>\nPART-TIME LECTURERS \/ MARKERS AND EXAMINERS<br \/>\nCourses include:<\/p>\n<p>Anatomy<br \/>\nBiochemistry<br \/>\nBiology<br \/>\nBehavioural Sciences<br \/>\nChemistry<br \/>\nClinical Sciences<br \/>\nLaboratory Sciences<br \/>\nMathematics<br \/>\nPhysiology<br \/>\nPathology<br \/>\nPhysics<br \/>\nPharmacology<br \/>\nPublic Health<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Qualifications (Academic Positions)<br \/>\nTo be considered for the above-mentioned academic positions, candidates must have:<\/p>\n<p>A Bachelor\u2019s Degree and a Master\u2019s Degree in a relevant field<br \/>\nA PhD will be an added advantage<br \/>\nA Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching\/Lecturing Methodology<br \/>\nAt least five (5) years\u2019 industrial and teaching experience<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities (Markers and Examiners):<\/p>\n<p>Developing marking keys<br \/>\nMarking examination scripts<br \/>\nUploading marks on the student management system<br \/>\nReviewing draft examinations in line with approved course outlines<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities (Lecturers):<\/p>\n<p>Lecturing assigned courses<br \/>\nSetting and marking assignments, tests, and examinations<br \/>\nCompiling continuous assessment and final examination marks<br \/>\nUploading results on the University portal<\/p>\n<p>5.
