{"id":7060,"date":"2026-01-13T08:02:13","date_gmt":"2026-01-13T08:02:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/job\/assistant-internal-auditor-at-radiation-protection-authority\/"},"modified":"2026-04-21T00:14:15","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T00:14:15","slug":"assistant-internal-auditor-at-radiation-protection-authority","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/?post_type=job_listing&p=7060","title":{"rendered":"Assistant Internal Auditor at Radiation Protection Authority"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>RADIATION PROTECTION AUTHORITY<br \/>\nEMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY<br \/>\nThe Radiation Protection Authority (RPA) is a Regulatory Body under the Ministry of Technology and Science, established by the Ionising Radiation Protection Act No. 16 of 2005 and its Amendment Act No. 19 of 2011.\u00a0RPA\u2019s mandate is to protect the public, workers and the environment from hazards arising from the use of devices or materials capable of producing Ionising Radiation.<br \/>\nThe Authority has a vacancy for the following position:<br \/>\nAssistant Internal Auditor (1)<br \/>\nReports To: Internal Audit Manager<br \/>\nLocation: Lusaka<br \/>\nJob Objective<br \/>\nTo support the execution of internal audit assignments by conducting basic audit tests, collecting and analysing audit data, and assisting in the preparation of audit reports in order to strengthen the Authority\u2019s internal control systems.<br \/>\nMain Duties<br \/>\n1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Assists in planning and execution of internal audit assignments in order to support effective audit coverage.<br \/>\n2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Performs basic audit tests, reconciliations, and data analysis to ensure accuracy and reliability of audit evidence.<br \/>\n3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Prepares audit working papers, schedules, and summaries for review by the Internal Auditor.<br \/>\n4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Supports risk identification processes and assists in the preparation of risk management reports.<br \/>\n5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ensures compliance with audit documentation standards and internal control requirements.<br \/>\n6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Assists in follow-up activities by collecting evidence on the implementation of audit recommendations.<br \/>\n7.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Participates in stock counts, cash counts, surprise checks, and other audit-related assignments as directed.<br \/>\nMinimum Vocational\/Professional Qualifications<br \/>\n1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Full Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate with 5 \u2018O\u2019 levels with credit or better, including Mathematics and English Language.<br \/>\n2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0CA Zambia Application Level, ACCA Level II, CIMA Level II<br \/>\n3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Valid ZICA or IIAZ membership.<br \/>\nMinimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience<br \/>\n1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Two (2) years\u2019 relevant experience in auditing, accounting, or finance.<br \/>\nAttributes and Skills<br \/>\n1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Good written and oral communication skills.<br \/>\n2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Computer literacy.<br \/>\n3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.<br \/>\n4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0High level of integrity and ethical conduct.<br \/>\n5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.<br \/>\n6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Interpersonal skills and ability to work under supervision.<br \/>\n7.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Willingness to learn and grow within the internal audit profession.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
