The role is critical in managing security personnel recruitment, training, performance, welfare, and compliance with labour and security industry regulations.<br \/>\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES<br \/>\n1. Strategic HR Management<\/p>\n<p>Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and structures aligned with the company\u2019s security operations and business objectives.<br \/>\nAdvise management on labour laws, employment best practices, and security-sector compliance.<br \/>\nSupport organizational growth through workforce planning and manpower optimization.<\/p>\n<p>2. Recruitment &amp; Selection<\/p>\n<p>Lead recruitment and vetting of security officers, supervisors, and administrative staff.<br \/>\nEnsure background checks, NRC verification, references, and physical fitness standards are adhered to.<br \/>\nCoordinate onboarding, induction, and deployment readiness for all new employees.<\/p>\n<p>3. Training &amp; Development<\/p>\n<p>Coordinate mandatory security training, refresher courses, and professional development programs.<br \/>\nWork closely with Operations to ensure guards meet industry standards in discipline, appearance, and conduct.<br \/>\nMaintain training records and certifications.<\/p>\n<p>4. Performance Management &amp; Discipline<\/p>\n<p>Implement performance appraisal systems for both operational and administrative staff.<br \/>\nManage disciplinary procedures in line with company policy and labour law.<br \/>\nPromote high standards of conduct, punctuality, and professionalism among security personnel.<\/p>\n<p>5. Employee Relations &amp; Welfare<\/p>\n<p>Act as the primary liaison between management and employees.<br \/>\nHandle grievances, conflict resolution, and employee welfare issues.<br \/>\nSupport staff motivation, retention, and morale in a high-risk work environment.<\/p>\n<p>6. Compliance &amp; Records Management<\/p>\n<p>Ensure compliance with Zambian labour laws, NAPSA, NHIMA, and other statutory requirements.<br \/>\nMaintain accurate employee records, contracts, leave schedules, and disciplinary logs.<br \/>\nPrepare HR reports for management and audits.<\/p>\n<p>7. Payroll &amp; Attendance Support<\/p>\n<p>Work closely with Accounts to ensure accurate payroll inputs, overtime records, and attendance tracking.<br \/>\nMonitor absenteeism, site attendance, and shift compliance.<\/p>\n<p>QUALIFICATIONS &amp; EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.<br \/>\nMinimum of 5 years\u2019 experience, preferably within private security, law enforcement, or a structured operational environment.<br \/>\nStrong understanding of Zambian labour laws and employment regulations.<br \/>\nExperience managing large, disciplined workforces (guards, supervisors, shift teams).<br \/>\nMembership with Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) is an added advantage.<\/p>\n<p>KEY COMPETENCIES &amp; SKILLS<\/p>\n<p>High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism<br \/>\nStrong leadership and people management skills<br \/>\nExcellent conflict resolution and disciplinary handling abilities<br \/>\nAbility to work under pressure and handle sensitive security-related issues<br \/>\nStrong documentation, reporting, and organizational skills<br \/>\nExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)<\/p>\n<p>WORKING CONDITIONS<\/p>\n<p>Office-based with frequent interaction with operational sites<br \/>\nMay require availability outside normal working hours due to security operations<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
