Breath of Heaven Children\u2019s Ministries (BOHCM) is a registered NGO dedicated to helping meet the needs of orphans in Zambia.\u00a0Located in Barlastone Park, Lusaka, the Ministry currently incorporates a Children\u2019s Village, which provides residential care for 100 orphans and vulnerable children, a primary\/secondary school with an enrollment of 400 students, a medical clinic, and a community church.\u00a0We are near completion of our new Vocational Training College (VTC) which will provide a quality post-secondary education that will further impact the lives of our children and the community.
\nWe are seeking a dedicated and qualified\u00a0Food and Nutrition Teacher\u00a0to join our secondary school faculty.
\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality practical and theoretical lessons, fostering a love for culinary arts, and guiding students toward excellence in their examinations and life skills.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Teach Food and Nutrition in accordance with the approved syllabus
\nPlan, prepare, and deliver engaging theory and practical lessons
\nAssess, record, and report on learners\u2019 academic progress
\nEnsure safe and effective use of the food laboratory\/kitchen
\nPromote hygiene, nutrition, and life skills among learners
\nParticipate in school academic and extracurricular activities<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements<\/p>\n
Degree in Food and Nutrition or a related field
\nValid teaching qualification (or proof of pedagogical training)
\nUpdated Teaching Council registration
\nStrong classroom management and practical demonstration skills
\nAbility to work with minimal supervision
\nGood communication and interpersonal skills
\nMust be a practicing Christian<\/p>\n

Prior teaching experience
\nExperience in handling practical food and nutrition lessons<\/p>\n
