All positions are on a full-time basis.<br \/>\n7. LECTURER \u2013 MENTAL HEALTH NURSING<br \/>\nJob Purpose<br \/>\nTo deliver teaching, clinical instruction, and supervision in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing, while supporting the development of student competence, professional practice, and wellbeing in line with approved curricula and standards.<br \/>\nKey responsibilities:<br \/>\nDeliver teaching and learning in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing in accordance with approved curricula and academic standards.<br \/>\nSupervise and support students during psychiatric clinical placements to ensure safe practice, ethical conduct, and attainment of required competencies.<br \/>\nProvide academic mentorship and pastoral support to students, with due regard to student wellbeing and professional boundaries.<br \/>\nSupport and participate in research, scholarly activities, and academic initiatives relevant to Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing.<br \/>\nParticipate in curriculum development, academic meetings, and quality assurance activities.<br \/>\nQualifications and Experience:<br \/>\nGrade 12 Certificate with five credits including English, Mathematics, and Science<br \/>\nBSc Mental Health Nursing or related discipline<br \/>\nMSc in Mental Health or Psychiatric Nursing<br \/>\nMinimum three (3) years tertiary teaching experience<br \/>\nNMCZ registration and ZAQA clearance<br \/>\nKey Attributes and Competences:<br \/>\nDemonstrated competence in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing practice and teaching.<br \/>\nEffective communication and presentation skills.<br \/>\nHigh standards of professionalism, ethics, and integrity.<br \/>\nAbility to mentor, guide, and support students academically and clinically.<br \/>\nAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary academic and clinical team.<br \/>\nGood organisational and time management skills.<br \/>\nDemonstrated involvement in research activities and\/or contribution to scholarly publications will be an added advantage.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
