\nJob description:
\nPURPOSE
\nManage, analysing and visualising geospatial and environmental databases, automate reporting workflows to support environmental projects and decision-making.
\nCreating and maintaining GIS database, conducting spatial analyses like modelling and pattern identification, developing maps and visualisation, and collaborating with other teams to integrate spatial data into projects workflows.

\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
\nThis position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.

\n\u2022 Take leadership role in departmental software system design, testing and implementation
\n\u2022 Automate reporting using Power BI, Excel macros and PHP tools
\n\u2022 Create high-quality maps and visualization to present geospatial information in a clear and informative manner for the team and stakeholders
\n\u2022 Integrate GIS data with environmental datasets to gain comprehensive understanding of environmental processes and interpretation
\n\u2022 Assist in interpreting data to inform and support evidence-based environmental management strategies
\n\u2022 Stay current with the latest GIS technologies, trends, and best practices relevant to environmental applications.
\n\u2022 Development of monitoring mapping for monitoring team interpret and continually track monitoring progress
\n\u2022 Set annual data and mapping targets
\n\u2022 Provide basic training and support to internal users and stakeholders and highlight where additional training support is required \u2013 Provide technical support and training to colleagues on GIS, software, tools and database management
\n\u2022 Document methodologies and finding to ensure transparency, reproducility and Compliance
\n\u2022 Quality assurance and daily upload of field data, laboratory reports, quality assurance of chain of custody, database field sensors verification, and external database monitoring, and labeling data automatic sensors and collaborate with appropriate site team to facilitate timely interventions and maintenance
\n\u2022 Make data driven recommendations to improve departmental operations
\n\u2022 Develop, implement, and maintain databases, data collection systems, data transmission.
\n\u2022 Supporting the execution of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System by aligning database and ensuring statutory data management compliance
\n\u2022 Collation of accurate data and its analysis for internal and external reporting.
\n\u2022 Perform any additional responsibilities as may be assigned by superiors duly authorized to him\/her.

\nQUALIFICATIONS
\n\u2022 Minimum Qualification: Bachelor\u2019s Degree in the following:<\/p>\n
Computer Science
\nGeographic Information Systems (GIS)
\nInformation Technology
\nEnvironmental Engineering\/Sciences
\nChemical Engineering
\nAnd related qualifications with relevant experience.<\/p>\n
\u2022 All academic qualifications must be certified by Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA)
\nEXPERIENCE
\n\u2022 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Over 5 years of professional experience.
\n\u2022 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Proficient in GIS software, remote sensing, modeling, data analysis, and scripting languages such as Python and R.
\n\u2022 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Skilled in analytical chemistry, computer programming, and data and quality management.
\n\u2022 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Hands-on experience in mining operations and environmental monitoring.
\n\u00a0
